Play it to the end, you discover the whole thing at the last 1-2 hour of playing. Trust me.
I
played through the end, and learned next to nothing about Paxton Fettel. In fact, the company even admitted they added him in near the end of game development.
And furthermore, I never honestly felt part of a team. I was going in solo.

That different for everyone.
Are you kidding? It almost seems like they completed the game, then decided to make it a horror after it was completed. Here are the main ways the game "tries" to scare you.
1. Alma pops out of nowhere, such as crawling through a vent. This may make you jump.
2. Something random happens, such as a body flies in front of you, making you jump.
3. Bloody faces appear (people who are dead up ahead) also making you jump.
3. You go in slow motion and hear voices, and see either Alma or Paxton Fettel appear and say stuff to you/or you go into a hallucination. Either way, both are quite silly.

Bullpoo. The Graphics are WAY FAR better than doom3, Okay, it take an awesome computer.Yeah it get repetitive. But it change anyway. The level design is pretty srewed but when you fight your ass agains't 6 replica you tend to forget that.
F.E.A.R runs on the engine Jupiter EX, and just seems very inefficient. I have a GeForce 6800, which is a pretty decent video card, and I cant even set anything above the medium/low level (and I have 2 gigs of ram). In Doom 3/Quake 4, I can set settings to maximum and get awesome graphics quality.
Furthermore, it honestly seems like they picked a random person off the street to do level design. Each one seems the exact same. The office building even recycled parts of the warehouse. I couldnt focus into the atmosphere of the game, when level design was horrible.
