I've actually heard about this game.
Im curious about how you use a map editor on the console itself, because I would think the console controller would make controlling the editor clumsy.

Far Cry Instincts was made oringally for Consles, Ps2 and Xbox but the Ps2 version was dropped. They were oringally going to port Far Cry to the Xbox but it's caliber was too high they started a new game from scrath.

I find it strange that the expansion set for a game originally released on computers is slated for release only on consoles.

If your refering to instincts you are sadly mistaken, it was suppose to be a consle version of the game, not an expansion pack.

FarCry: Instincts has a map editor and of course, it's way better than WarCraft III World Editor. You are Jack Carver, you have been injected into pre-human life form and become the predator. There are mercenaries are trying to find you, and hunt you down, snipers, grunts, scouts, tail gunners, squad leaders, workers, scientists and special ops. I still don't see how having any kind of editor on a console makes it better than a PC one. I think controlling terrain controls with any kind of console controller would be frustrating. Mouses are still the best kind of input, besides a keyboard.

It's easy, if you play Tony Hawk Underground 2, you can make your own park. (Like Map)
Or if you play Pariah, there is also a map editing.
Don't forget about Sims, Sims 2, etc but it's more likely the making your own house.

i own far cry but it pisses me off the 2nd one didnt come out on computer. it looked really good. and seeing that i love to map for games i would really like to map for this one to. All well...

FAR CRY INSTINCTS IS NOT A SEQUEL:
It WAS ORINGALLY a port to Ps2 and Xbox, but the system in Far Cry was way too big, so they scrapped it and started a new project, if it were released on PC it would've been an expansion pack.
