Try Grim Fandango, or any other game that Tim Schafer has made.
The old Command And Conquer.
Scorched Earth!
That's what, 1995? Or is it '85?
Yeah, I was obsessed with Red Alert and Warcraft II for a while

Lego island.
Don't Judge me...Please.
doom, old cnc games, duke nukem, lode runner, wolfenstein
Doom II
Munched! (from old macintosh, frog went around and ate numbers or words.. guess it would be considered 'educational')
Something link, another mac game where this bar would go from dot to dot and pick up power dots... or something.
Jazz Jackrabbit and Laser Tank. I remeber when I was small I was inspired by Jazz Jackrabbit to make some copmuter game that I dreamed up with my sister and her friend (who also liked the game) I think our imaginary game was about some toothbrush and some teeth and they went on adventures.
Starcraft.
But seriously, Commander Keen. That game owned.
I also enjoyed
Skyroads, a game that I used to play for hours (its now discontinued, free download). Its MSDos.
Sonic the Hedgehog
I loved those games

You are my hero. I've been looking all around for a fan of this game and finally I find one here! I don't remember anything specific about JJR, but I remember fond memories of him. Commander Keen was also a game that I was obsessed with. More recently, Age of Empires is the game that had me addicted to PC gaming.
Final doom : Plutonia experiment - espetialy on coop. LOTSA monsters

Duke 3d / Blood are nice

gory
Starcraft Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit and a driving game that I havent played for many years because my friend who got it broke the CD

Sonic isn't a computer game.
Escape Velocity was pretty cool. That and the Hero or Space Quest series.
Star Wars Rebellion
Guess who broke their right hand and can't play video games for a month?
This sucks ass.

you could play ddr or pump it up. or any button mashing game, provided you have some coordination with your left hand.
Or simple turnbased game, or games like that where speed isn't required and you can take your time doing things.
Like a puzzle game? Or something.
Sim City

If blind people can play video games then I'm sure you with one hand can

Quite Old Games:
X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Dark Forces, DOOM or DOOM2, Heretic (DOOM in the Middle Ages), Quake, Quake II
Mid-Range Old Games:
Age of Empires, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Half-Life, StarCraft, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter (not super-recommended due to crappy single-player mode), Counter-Strike, Quake III

Funny you mention that, a co-worker twisted the tendon of his left hand from playing Halo and can't game for a while aswell. I laughed at him because I've played much more intense games for much longer periods of time and came away unscathed.

Yeah it was Age of Empires that got me hooked to computer gamming. Well the first RTS I played and that is why my favourit game genre is RTS. But then AoE got a bit boring and Starcraft was introduced to me, the wonderful work of Use Map Settings.
I'm going to go with sim city ( so much fun till you have no where left to build lol)
And of course, the oldest of old school; pong.
FYI: Pong was basically cpu game so dont flame me.
