Do you think it is a good idea to add a saving device to a bound game or defense game?
depends... if its really really really super duper long
Im gonna do this for a bound than try a defense I just need to figure out how 2 save it.
I really don't see any reason behind any save-able defense or bound. I mean, it's just more triggering from starting from a specific obstacle, and there's no point really. Same with the defense, unless you want to retain a good defense. If you're up for it, be my guest.
And saving a defense would be pretty :censored:ing hard...
People already use starcraft's built-in save feature.
I would have it so it saves every 5 levels for incase you have to go do something u can pick the game back up or something.
Yah but to make it good you will have to get the money back, units, upgrades, or whatever you use for it..
I think it's just too much work for little payoff. People can just share codes and get the best possible position/defense.

i dont think u can get upgrades back, and if one person knows the saving code thing then he can tell everyone else n everyone would b very strong

A password for bounds sounds reasonable.
Better yet, bound to enter the password.

Would there be a way for everyones code 2 be differnt for every player on b.net?
That would be pretty awsome if there was as for upgrades
You could have it so the code you get adds mineral chunks to a unused area and than the chunks are converted into minerals so you get the correct ups back or you can reuse money.
Thats the easiest way I could think of a upgrading system.
How do you save maps in game without going to menu and save?
Does that version actually work?

No, you can't get the correct upgrades, you can get the correct money though. There is easier ways to keep track of upgrades though.

The only one I'm aware of is Xuru RPG. You're given a text code and you have to use a beacon system to input the numbers, and it'll restore your hero, money and upgrades.

And with a simple click of trigger viewer you can see how he did it
. I ment to say to get correct money not ups. someone already made a save system sry
see if you click menu (f10 for shortcut) and then the host has a tab on the very top of the thing that pops up
it says Save Game
then just create a password game and have the people reenter

Im talkin about say u go to the store and your on level 6 or whatever and you had a team with you helpinyou can come back alone and go back to level 6 with the same lives as beforeWell I think that there should be something kinda like this. It would be sorta like 3 bounds in one or something like that. You first had to do a test bound to determine how good the player is, if they finish the test bound, they are expert, at least halfway is moderate, less than half is newbie.

Im starting to think the saveable bound serves no point really.
That's what I've been trying to get across. There's no real value in it besides convinence.
or... ppl could just restar the game later, or use SC's save system, entering a code is either short and easy to cheat, or complicated, trigger consuming and very time consuming in game, everyone would hav to enter there codes after eachother, or else trigger would multiply

sounds good but dont see how your gonna get the life to save...
unless you make the bound have only 1 life...
Scout... Display text for a hexidecimal value, for 1 byte 00 through 32 (aka: 50), each one up is a live, 01=1 life 0F=15 lives 30=48 Lives, but you dont honestly need that Lol, but when u type in the code later on it could give you lives up to 50... Really easy to cheat... but yea its possible
