I know, its too large. I was intending for it to be a 6 player, but I couldn't get the mid right/left to be balanced enough with the top & bottom corners, so its just a large 4 player map. I'm still tampering with it, so suggestions is apprecaited.

And please note: just senseless babble like "bad nat, rigged for terran" or fragmented reasoning like that will just be ignored. If you have nothing useful or encouraging to say, don't say it at all.

I think it looks pretty good, actually. But the size, like you said, is a problem. Maybe you could try remaking it on 128x128? And maybe some more definate expansions. I dunno if a P or T would shell out 400 minerals for a 300 mineral cluster expansion and one where you can only access 4 at a time.

Remaking it on 128x128 would take too long... probably just making something completely new would be more worth it. Besides, its not THAT much of a problem... is it?

As for definete expansions, theres a good number of expos. Theres two (including nat) within the vicinity of the main base, after all. If so, where would be good places to add them (estimation)?

The last comment leaves me a little puzzled. Perhaps I am not understanding it the right way... could you rephrase or explain it a little better? Thanks.

Well actually, thats not senseless babble, thats whats wrong with the map and you need to fix it.

The size issue: Keep it, your obviously not very talented at making maps (no offense intended) but you can make up for it by trying new things.

However, there are very few minerals/expansions it will make for a whole new type of gameplay.
I'm not that big of a fan of the 3 mineral patch nat, add more (But then it'll look like you stole it from Dahlia or Bladestorm)
Also, the terrain is too symetrical for a non space map, make it more rugged, thats how men like it. But thats just what I think =P

The map layout looks like a toy box somebody experimented on. But maybe that could be your theme, then it would be a good thing!

Or for the fun of it, scatter some more of those 3-mineral expos around. It'll ruin the flow a little, but doggone it, men need their minerals!

Is this a 1v1 or 2v2 map? As top vs bottem 2v2 this might be okay... As 1v1 this map is worthless.

Personally, I really don't like this map... It just doesn't look fun.

PS: I the first mission of your campaign... It was like a really long and boring version of the last level in BroodWar (the Ice one) =/ Not that my opinion means much to you, but what the hell eh?

Eww. I just looked at the expos on the sides seperated by water... Thats such a bad formation, you have no idea.
I believe its hard for AIs to mine patches that are unreachable, so just, fix that, or something.
There arent enough minerals for a good game, even if its a new style, it would suck.

Ice, as in the tileset, that's what it's called. The level is the bonus level you get to play if you beat the 2nd last Zerg mission in BroodWar in less than 10 minutes. It's like your campaign... only fun.

I already gave your campaign a chance, it wasn't entertaining for me. If you wanted to prove your worth, you should have shown me your best work.

I presume you are talking about the midleft/right, and they ARE reachable. Miners can harvest at a diagonal like that, and comps never have problems with that. I checked.

As for minerals, I can just add more... -_-

1. Your map is so god damned big I can't see.
2. It looked like low terrain so they couldnt reach them.
3. Its still blamty despite the fact its reachable.
4. If you can add more, god damn do it.

There needs to be more incentive to control the middle. Put some gas and minerals there. Make it buildable but still pretty tongue.gif

To me it looks like just too much open area fighting instead of places where high terrain can be a distinct advantage or you can put units in random nooks and crannies to mess up their units (like a cliff above a main fighting ground only reachable by transport ship so you could put some unit up there to get a very distinct terrain advantage. That's just the way I like to melee though so I dunno..

I'm like a zerg guru so I dunno if cliffs are just a big advantage for them or something, but I like the cliffs. w00t.gif w00t.gif How come everyone always mentions unfair match ups such as like PvT but I never hear about like ZvT or ZvP??
