The problem with using Nil is that it's the persian word for fortune.

Other meanings of the word:
From Wiki on nil:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nil"In colloquial language, nil as an abbreviation of the Latin word "nihil" (nothing) is sometimes used to express disagreement."
and on null:
From Wiki on null:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Null"It originates from the Latin word nullus, meaning not any. "Null" is the word for zero in German and Norwegian. (Similar to "nul" in Dutch and Danish, "noll" in Swedish and "nulo" in Esperanto.)"
Truth be told, Nil is actually better definition of what we think of null since the origins of Null = zero in German. Since zero is actually describing a quantity it actually represents a value. Nil however truely means nothing.
