NaNoWriMo : National Novel Writing Month takes place in Novemember, where authors around the globe (even though it says National) write over 50,000 words in one month to complete their novel. Everyone is welcome to join. Who wants to do it? I'm doing it
http://www.nanowrimo.orgCool. I'm thinking about a sci-fi romp. It should be fun, and I already signed up.
50,000 words = 1666 & 2/3 words per day, or less than three pages size 12 times new roman single space (my average is 615 words per page). Shouldn't be a problem.
Alright, lemme get this straight. Yall want me to write a 50,000 word novel in just one month, while keeping up with my college courses, online RP commitments, and a full time gaming addiction? I'd have to be crazy!
...I'm in.
YAY! good luck people

I tried it last yera and failed...but this year I'll be able to do it. I've already done a bit of preplanning.
Preplanning isn't for people with two 10 page papers due the day before the thing starts.
You guys ready to start this thing?
Use the participating picture to show your support! It's my avatar.
haha. I'm going to find a better one.
And I am so ready to start. Did ya'll sign up on their site? I want your names
And we're rolling!
I'm Wing-of-no-Wing on that site, just as I am here.
I'm not the type of guy who likes to write 50,000 words just for fun.
Feguland, did you join the site?
I met my quota!! YAY!
I'm only 1,076 words into my story. I need to have 3333 and 1/3 to be on schedule tonight.
Here is a list of quotas for the month of November (in words):
Nov. 1 - 1666 and 2/3
Nov. 2 - 3333 and 1/3
Nov. 3 - 5000
Nov. 4 - 6666 and 2/3
Nov. 5 - 8333 and 1/3
Nov. 6 - 10,000
The cycle will repeat every 6 days:
Nov. 12 - 20,000
Nov. 18 - 30,000
Nov. 24 - 40,000
Nov. 30 - 50,000 (woohoo we're done!)
It sounds really cool but, 1) the forum lags crazily and if i ever need to ask questions obvioslly I have to go to the forum, and I dont really want to wait that long. But its sounds really fun hopefully there will be another chance like this gl to you Fegalund
How does it lag terribly? Maybe you have bad luck...the forums work fine for me :\
Current Word Count: 10,646
Current word count: 12% of that
Congrats to you guys, its good to see that kind of dedication these days. By the way, after the NaNoWriMo or whatever, will you be able to read what the participants have written? Im a bit interested to see what some of you could come up with.

Yea you can read it if they decide to put it up on a third party site. I haven't done it yet; I'm writing it on a different computer, and it also is edited with more words every day ish.
I find myself unable to write under such constraints. It's not that I'm unable, but simply that November is apparently my busiest life. However, I have stumbled upon a rather intriguing plot that I shall be sure to expand upon, at a more appropiate time.
Then again, my main project is at a standstill, but that I force myself to forge ahead, ever so slowly.
Are you ditching the project?! NOOO I CAN'T DO IT ON MY OWN!
14,146 words
Although lack of time has meant that I'm not going to make 50,000 words by the end of the month (too far behind already), I'll keep writing, and maybe get a decent way into things before time runs out.
Did you people give up?
COME ON!!!
Sorry Kame, but do you still love me? I may write a bit now though, since my right hand is broken no longer and the dumb cast is off!
