You know on battle.net or oversome othergames, people use slang and misspelled words, well my friends having some disorder these days. He cant compare between commonly used language and internet language.
I think you know when people spend too much time on computer they have thoughts different from people. For example, one says 'LOL!' in real life and doesnt realize that he could just laugh. This makes me real sad for my friend.
Do you think I should tell him about this? It is getting annoying. =(

I occasionally use 'leetspeek' in regular conversations, but mostly, if I say it, it's a joke.

Wow my friends and I only use it to joke around. Me and my friends call the Freshmen in our school Noobs then they look at us funny. It's hilarius!

I try not to say "own", "noob", "woot!", and that shiz out loud...

Me too, but I actually know like 9 people who say noob every other sentence. And they think they're cool for it. Some of them even attempt to say "rofl wafflez" Just sad.

Anyway it would really annoy me if people use it excessivley. ( I hope I spelled that right) Thankfully nobody I know does that.

Tons of people at my school say 'ownage' and 'pwnage'.
My friend was talking about how much of a nerd his cousin was, saying 'lol' instead of just laughing.

People (girls) at my school like the people like me.. I make shiz with comp (I even helped people pass Algebra classes by making a calc program that shows all the work for you (including answer). I should put screenies somewhere)

I am online as much as I can be. I make it a point to either use nub langwag 2 mak fun uv et, or type nice enough the average person can read it.

when i hear people say own or pwn in real life it pisses the living hell outta me. i mean its like get a freaking life and use real language. i think the reason why people say internet slang in real life is that they talk out loud while they type or think of it in thier head. if you suffer from this pathetic disorder please do not think of "lol" just think of haha. it might help... if it doesnt at least i tried.

People really don't care. If you care about how someone says something, or how you say it, then you care too much. I could say lol and pwn all day. In fact, I go pwn to everyone, and does anyone care? NO. IT wouldn't be social suicide, it'd just be a change of words. It's like making fun of people who can't speak properly of school, you don't do it.
