The title pretty much says it all...

My favorite so far would probably be Stranger in a Strange Land, or The Phantom Tollbooth.

I don't have any specific books that I like, but there a few I enjoyed reading once. I never understodd why people would read a book more than once.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or the Red Dwarf Omnibus. Both are sci-fish comedy, which I enjoy alot.

I just read R.A. Salvatores Icewind Dale Trilogy and enjoyed it immensely. The first book was my least favorite, but it was still enjoyable, and the second and third are magnificent.

I highly suggest it to fans of high fantasy.

David Eddings' The Belgariad and The Malloreon were excellent reads. Problem is that each series has five books, so it's going to be rather hard to find them all in their complete form.

If you go for those, read the third one and skip the rest.

I wish I had more time to read, but a book I read recently that I really enjoyed was The Godfather by Mario Puzo. While the movie's fantastic, the book gave you a greater understanding of all the characters and why they did certain things. It even ties up some loose ends in the movie.

Probably the wheel of time series. If you like LOTR then you will love this. Except its a little easier reading. smile.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Syphon on 2005-11-12 at 00:16:22
But if you're going to read LotR again, stay away from books 1,2 and 3. Focus on 4,5 and mainly 6. Also the similarian. (spelling.)

Yea, no clear structure, written at a below par level of expertise. I loved that book too -_-

What are you into? Bonesetter's Daughter is a good Chick Lit book. Try a nonfiction book on pirates...those may be more interesting than you think tongue.gif
