Ok so I used the resize feature of scm draft to change the size of the map from 127x92 to like 128x150... The problem is that I crash when I try to play it. Setting it to 192 works but its much too big for me! is there any size in between that works? Or a list anywhere?
[sub]The length x width must be one of these, or the map will crash:
64
96
128
192
256
Just make your map bigger, its not like you ar4e forced to fill the whole map, just leave some blank.[/sub]
yea i noticed lol
but still its usefull i like it how i can change map size.. usally make them bigger.. becuase you can always use more space

Actually other numbers work also but their more likely to crash if you havnt tested the size before.

That's not true. I have a game called 12x256 fastest, and it really is 12x256. You can only move the screen a teeny bit up and down, but from side to side you have 256. Any thoughts?
test way to test is if xtra editor opens the map it wont crash.... well thats how i test it without going to starcraft itself

i saw a map that was like 12x12 on space and u could keep scrolling rite forever, nonstop, nvr stopping... it kept going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going... never stopping it just kept going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going

For some reason, I have a reasonable suspicion that you're spamming. Seeing as how this post had no content but a lot of words, and so did a few of your others recently in this forum.
AFL-InuYasha you mean you played a 12x12 map and you could keep scrolling.. in sc it self... or in the map editor...
and man dont post like that
For an obscurely sized map to not crash, you must play a game on a map with normal dimensions. Then, in the same session (without closing StarCraft), you can play obscurely sized maps as much as you want. I can't tell yuo why this must be done because I do not know, but it it tends to work with mose strangely sized maps (you still can't exceed 256x256).
No maps bigger than 256. If you use one side as a normal length the other can be any length over the dimentions of one screen length. (20x12) Even sides do not alter the appearance of the minimap, odd numbers alter how the minimap looks. Other dimentions must play one other map beforehand. The previous map can be any dimention. (Provided the cycle of unnatural sizes does not begin with one.)
Are you sure that you can't play maps above 256 if you've already played a normal one? I thought ones too big just had to be a multiple of 64.
What if I wanted to play my map online with other players? Would they be safe if they had played a game before comming to my room?
i think i tried and it didnt work, multiplayer is alot different from single player

Positive, although someone made a 1024x1024 map with a mod once.

Theres a Map called Invalid bound thats like 128x0 where you scroll and it keeps starting over and everytime a little more is covered up.
And lets not forget Mirror bound that is 128x0 too but that really has no map effectSo looks like map sizes that are out of the ordinary DO work but do they work online?
Yes. If it works in one place it would work in another.

if u could make an rpg 1024 x 1024, holy crap, mobile grids ofcourse, but holy shiz, that would pwn
AFL i have a suggestion go play wc3. You have no limits man its so F***ING AWSOME lol
for some reasno i prefer SC, im not sure why, but those old school graphics, awsome 2d map editor and EUD's, i prefer SC over WC( excluding WoW) or Diablo.
The awsome 3D map editor and New school graphics in wc3 are better, then again there is always wc2. EUD's dont work anymore and the wc3 editor could still do more even if they did.
but if ppl prefer wc3, then y is the SC community so big still
Besides, SEN is a starcraft community not wc.
