Yep, my first map. It was designed for a fast battle, but it didn't turn out the way planned. I spent an hour in school drawing the idea, and then spent another 2 making the map. I say it went well, but not very great. The left and Right sides are a bit unbalanced for space, but if they go to thier natural, they should be fine. Beware: Tanks seem a bit deadly now in retrospect. One comsat sweep, and a few tanks on low ground, the enemy natural is down...

[sub]Many problems with this map. Firstly, 12 and 6 both have cliffs behind the mains, where 3 and 9 dont. Your mineral placement is weird. 3 and 9 mains are much larger then the others. The naturals are not set up to be evenly. 12 and 6 main's gas is set up so it will be harder to mine.[/sub]

Maybe because the minerals are separated so much, are larger number of workers start mining from behind? I dunno, it happens to me sometimes. I think the outer minerals just end up being very far from the cc.

MAybe I'm wrong but i'd say that it's too tight. It's fine if you're playing with zerg but protoss and terrans need a bit more space. It's only my opinion. Oh and the way to first expo seems a bit too tight on the right for blue. Also teal and purple have only one ramp to their expos but red and blue have two.

That's only my opinion, don't critise me if I said something wrong.

wtf kind of spam post is that? If you're going to post something, make it worth the time of the author to read it.

As soon as possible (Next 2-4 weeks) I'll fix it up.

I guess I was following the traditions of some Blizzard maps. I've seen worse placement in my time, believe me.

He's implying that you should make the mineral placement for max efficientcy. Like at the places with straight mineral patches, it mine much faster if they were more clustered and be less open for harass. As for the gas, you might wanna give room for peons to walk between since if you leave them like that, they will go out the back and walk a big loop around the minerals instead of going through. And if you've seen worst, wouldn't it be better to just make yours hella good instead? tongue.gif

Not bad for first map, though, in terms of looks. Not sure bout balance unlesss I test it out.
