Hmm... I was told by Kow about how you can view your own warn log now, and I found some very, very interesting things.

Is it okay for Moderators, to warn you because of your opinions?? Warned for my opinion

Here is what it says in my warn log for that: chuOS Warned on Jun 30 2005, 11:53 AM
Added to warn level http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopi...ndpost&p=249185

Here is another warn that I feel I did not need: Do you see any flammable material from me in here??

Here is what the Warn Log says for that: chuOS Warned on Oct 8 2005, 02:49 PM
Added to warn level Flaming, flaming, and flaming.
http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopic=21382

3 day extra suspension due to 100%.
Removed 200 Minerals.

Now. At least have the decency to point out where I flame, instead of just posting the whole topic??

Basicly. What i'm trying to get at is that i'm sick of these stupid warns for little things. Look at everyone else? They flame more than me, but i'm the one that gets punished for it hardcore?

I'm sick of chuOS's actions towards me when there are tons more crap that people do, that is worse than what I do.

I agree with all the other mod's actions, because I did deserve the warns.

But not once. And i'm serious. Not once, have I seen a plausible reason for chuOS to warn me. This iritates me very, very much, and it makes me think that SEN blows dogs for quarters now, because they can get away with this shiz.

Any of you have anything like this? If so, post it ^_^ So we may discuss the issue.

Im still confused on how I got 40%.. I wonder if it was like yoshi suspending me from the shoutbox... I hated when I got banned twice from the shoutbox.

The moderators are fine sometimes. They make reasonable decisions and I'm not just saying this to act like a suck-up. They are the ones that keep people from disobeying the rules.

Alot of people disagree to what the moderators do and what not. But they let the public know which will most likely moderators will raise the warns. That's why people should quit making topics about a disagreement. They need to talk to the moderators first, and if the moderator doesn't tell them why he/she warned you, get the admin involved. If you were to get in a fight with a moderator, they WILL win. They are the staff of SEN which controll the forum fights, spamming, and etc.

People need to stop posting topics.

I've tried it on both browsers, IE and Firefox. It will not let me look at them.

Oh no! They ruined my plan! Lol.

I do agree with you on the fact that they ALWAYS win. But that is not fair in my eyes.

We should have a chance to get to have our say in it, and to discuss it with the mods, without them having a "You're wrong because I caught you in the act, so i'm right and your wrong" attitude..
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Jordan on 2005-11-11 at 14:56:23
I 100% agree with that. I feel as if I don't get a chance to rest my case.

I don't think anyone does, and that is what iritates me the most.

Isn't SEN all about being fair and just?

SEN's about making maps.

-_-

Thanks captain obvious tongue.gif

I'm talking about how they rule SEN.

Maybe I should have specified that...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mp)MinigameEast on 2005-11-11 at 15:37:54
i demand we should have a SEN court.

we all know SEN is about map making and all.
but why would you have serious/lite descusion and null and creative things anyway? they have nothing to do with starcraft.

it isnt fair when you get warned when the rule hasnt even been added to the SEN rules and regulation.

It's been explained many times before and here I go at it again.

There is no set of "Moderating Rules" that are in place, the answer for this is quite simple, no set of rules can cover every possible action that a member can do on SEN. This is why you will see that all moderators moderate the forums in a different style.

For example:
I didn't punish for everything, I let a few things go. But when I did punish, I punished that person heavily.
Chu on the other hand, punishes everything but he did so in a light way. He was also much more active in the forums than the rest of us and that is why he caught all the little things.

We also cannot have a SeN court. The reason for this is beacuse that forum will be the size of Null with all the people complaining.

The reason for Moderators having the idea that once you get caught you get punished and thats the end of it is quite simple. The moment we let our guard down, the moment we start to un-punish and the moment we take back what we said is the moment that the members will realize that they have a weak moderator and they will start doing what they want and start going around the rules. How will they go around the rules? It's simple, if you didn't ban that person for X action, then you can't ban me for X action. It has happened before and I'm sure all the moderators are aware of such consequences.

Also take into consideration this: You all remember the times when we punished you and you disagreed. That is because you payed much more attention to that than the time you agreed with the punishment. I'm definetly sure that there are many more good actions on behalf of the mods than bad ones. You just don't see everything that we do. Yes you may know about your 60% warn level, and may think that we only punish you, but there are people in a far worse situation than you. I've banned people for 1 offense and left it like that, nobody noticing. I have warned and inmense number of people and hardly anyone notices. I verbally warn someone and everyone notices and they remember this last action.

I'm okay with you disagreeing with some moderator actions, just don't be too biased with the situation. Make sure you are looking at both sides of the coin.

well is that why you put diffrent style moderators at a certain forums?

some what lazy moderator that gives people chances, he moderates for the forums that arent that important and not really used that much.

then for the really meanies, they moderate for the ones that are really active forums.

might as well make a list about what things that moderators Warn.
i know a couple right now like:

asking for a cd-key
spamming
flamming
hacking (could result ban but depends if the person understands or not)
harrasment
censors
Uber useless topics

might as well add this to the new SEN rules

It only hurts if it is the truth.

If it was not the truth, you should be able to shrug it off.

Removed 100 Minerals.

Warned me over a personal conflict via PM, the orignal reason I pmed him was asking about the warn I got the day before, but he wanted to be a smart ass about the reason, and I get warned for flaming him back, and by this point it was no longer about my first warn. I didnt know mods could use their powers to punish members they simply dont like.[/sub]

If calling someone immature is a flame (He even stated that that is the reason he warned me) then everyone in this forum should be suspended -_-
