I need to find an easy and cheap way to teach myself programming with no previous programming knowledge. I need this because I have decided to go with game creation as a career. So, I need to learn everything. Most likely anything you guys have will help. I would also like some program where I can test out new things and kinda get a feel for new concepts.
Go to the library, check out books on programming.
Yeah...I know...when I said I needed to find a way...I kinda knew that one..any suggestions on which books?
You're probably not going to get a career in game making without a degree or some class credit in computer programming. What grade are you in?
I generally find classes help for starting out, but that's not "cheap".
I'm taking visual basic I next semester and I have NO backround knowledge of programming, will that help me? Or will it just degrade my report card
