what do you think SC:2 will be like
what changes do you think they will make to the game play?
and what changes do you think they will make to the editor?
It'll probably be Warcraftified.
That's all I can think of, and something I don't like the sound of, as probable as it seems it will come true.
no noes even sure sc2 will come out but we are all hoping il probaly want a new story line and ill be happy
It's not been announced yet, true, but to not make it would be effing stupid.
I mean, Blizzard should know that just about 99.99999% of the SC community would LOVE to hear of SC: 2 being officialy announced.
That last 0.00001% being those that are confusing BW with SC: Ghost and SC: Ghost with SC: 2.........
(I met someone who said SC: Ghost came out 4 years ago, and that SC: 2is coming out soon rofl).

They annouced they were looking into SC2 after SC: Ghost. On the FAQ of SC:G. I made sure of it. I can't wait..

They have probably been working on in for awhile and since games take a little while to make and they probably want to release it before 2007
Well Sc2 will have more types then just three, because at the end of BW there was that last extra mission where there is a cell that holds a new breed.
So my guess is this game is going to be using a lot of new types of guys/species, which will give an even more complex strategy to the game.
...with extremely good quality due to it being a Blizzard game...
Naval units'd be cool.
I hope they make the Medics better at following instructions though... -.-

SC2 Will not be in production unless the regular ammount of Starcraft users on Battle.net falls below 5000(maybe). Well that is a guess.

Sad true. Starcraft is still so popular that it generates incomes.
But I think it will come once they finish WoW and SC:ghost,ending 2004 or 2005.
However,I fear SC2 would be,like one of you said before, Warcraftlish. Mainly,the graphics. Personally I don't like 3d strategy games,but it's inevitable

Besides, you know that they are actually LOSING money as players remain on Battle.net? Servers cost money and its absolutely free (they cant change that because it'd be false advertising)

The level before Omega(final Zerg mission), there will be a half-hour countdown timer. Beat the mission before that, and it will be unlocked. Using the skip level cheat works too.

That is so true, I never looked at it from that perspective before. They made alot of money from starcraft though

if you sold each one for 10$ (which is not including the original price of 50$ + expo)
that is 30 million dollars minus the expenses to produce it and make it which can't be anymore then 1 million over the years.
I think that SC:2 will be a completely different game from StarCraft, made by none of the original programmers of STarCraft (because they all were fired or quit). Therefore, SC:2 will be to StarCraft what "The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" (aired on weekdays, with a very overblown and outrageous take on Sonic) was to "Sonic the Hedgehog" (aired Saturdays, with a dark, mysterious story and character development). Does that make sense? Or am I just retarded?
I think it would be cool if it looked like the normal starcraft but with more features and cooler stuff, no damn 3

You can do that with Starcraft all ready, or at least you can with certain skills, like knowing how to you IceCC, Arsenal, MPQDraft, WinMPQ, SCAiScript and such tools.
ya, but can you play on Battle.net with it?
I'm thinking more eye candy, it should be able to have even more units in one map. No more cannot create more units would be nice. And of course more different types of units. They should also give units rank or something, so if a marine gets like 50 kills it gets promoted and fires faster on it's own.
I dont think it should go completely 3D like warcraft 3. Cuz i love hearing hundreds of units die from a nuke hehe.
As for the map editor i hope they have more ai options for comps or options that can be modified easily. Like they should be able to upgrade past level 3 on there own.
O just remember this one thing i wished they had a lont time ago, Boats! Or just units that can travel on water that would be nice.
Different types of death animations would be a nice bonus
