Put it in this and see if people won't come flocking with comments.

Wow... it seems by the screen shots that the computer of the game gets down on the player more than the other people do... hahaha. That is always the opposite

Gets down? haha I only screenshotted those to show that can get owned in this map if you set the unit flow to high. Later in the game you can easily defend from that number of enemies. But then you have to worry about the additional attacks from other players at the same time! blink.gif

ADDITION:
Alright I added a screen shot of red and white sending attacks at the same time. The arbiters are whites attack and the queens are red's attack. All the other players recieve the attack but I screenshotted green. Obviuosly theres no way green could defend from all that so he lost lives. And in the process one of the regular units (the scantids) also made it past so he lost a life for that too. Hopefull this explains strikes a little bit better.

I also found out its so much harder to get a screenshot you want on battle.net. When I was with myself it was ez to tell the units what I wanted them to do. With the addition of other players it aws fustrating to simply get them to go to a beacon. XD

Alright I like the numbers 22 and 72 and since it would be stupid jump all the way up to Drill Defense v7.2 I finished Drill Defense v2.2 which fixed the last bug I knew of and added a notification when a player uses heal/direct damage.

This will probably be the Final version but we all know how stupid it is to add FINAL to name of any map. pinch.gif

NOTE: The link up there has the v2.2 as well

I played the map yesterday on Battle.net. The 4 player FFA aspect is rather fun... You really, really should make it a little less similar to Pressure D though. I mean, even just changing the messages would help.

8.5/10

Well I did change most of the messages its just that they are the same color. The biggest thing that's similar to Pressure D is the units that come for each level but Softwarewolf already had everything balanced so I decided I wouldn't change that. I did change the attack power/ cost of the units though and made the offensive strikes more balanced.

i look forward to playing it sometime

It is the EXACT same thing as pressure defense, with different names and look. You also added a FEW things, I'll give you that.

Gameplay: 8/10
Originality: 3/10 (The 3 is for making it FFA)
Overall: 5.5/10

Well your right the entire terrain is my own but some of it IS exact from Pressure Defense. I did think of names such as Pressure D 4, Pressure D Platinum, AI Pressure D but I did not make Pressure D so I didn't think it was right to call it an extenstion of it. Here's what nuclearrabbit had to say to someone else:

QUOTE
If you didn't make the original one(s) then you can't really name yours number 3, because that would imply they're in the same series. Just name it something, it doesn't matter.

I kept the units that come out on each level becuase they are already balanced and if I chose different ones I was afraid that would ruin the gameplay aspect of the game.

Here's what I kept:

Most of the Heros
All of the strikes
Enemy units

Here's what I changed:
Cost of buildable units
Damage to some of the heros
New Heros
HP of all of the strikes
Added 50 lives
Entire Terrain
Added DEATH Drill
Added 2 new rows
Banner

The way the civ moves back and forth is taken becuase that's the only way to trigger the unit flow using death counts.

Excellent map, not much that could be possibly changed.

Pros

• Pretty decent gameplay - 8/10
• Good design - 8/10

Cons

• Run-off of Pressure Defense - -1 rating

Overall - 7.5/10

Nice job!

nice job and all

but its pratcially same thing as pressure d

same offenseive units and stuff..

yea next time u get inspired by a map, try to make it a little differnt
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Red2Blue on 2005-11-29 at 23:44:00
Uh huh... yea.... So you made another pressure defense.

Whats up with the terrain? All that masty looking lava really ruined it for me.
Try a solid unpathable shade.

You could try adding maybe.... other things.....

Theres still alot that hasn't been done.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Diggidoyo on 2005-11-30 at 01:15:13
Well I chose lava terrain to make it like you are actually being drilled to the ground. That's how I chose drill defense, you choose an officer to start their drill.

Anyways I know that there was more stuff I could have added so I started on Drill Defense 2005 (which will be in space terrain btw)
