This is mainly just to find out about how many people play "Rp" maps.
Admitanly, I play them, even though I consider them stupid O.o
Don't ask...
I never bothered to really join one, I dont know. I'll give em a try one of these days

State the obvious.
Rp's are a waste of time, they take less skills then bounds do, but thrice the time. Master of the Obvious has spoken.
Exactly why I called them stupid.
Yet I find an odd attraction to them, and, as with Mr.Camo(I'm assuming he's the other one that voted all the time), play them all the time.
PineCone, how would you know enough about them to complain if you've never bothered to join one?
Just curious, not complaining.
l've played them, there is nothing that an average map maker cant do.
Pinecone, I was assuming that you voted "I never bothered to join one", because it's safe to assume that Mr.Camo voted All the time, as I know him on B.Net, I voted Yes all the time, and Yoshi claimed that he'd never bpthered, yet there were 2 votes for never bothered.
Polls are there for a reason...
Yes, they're something that just about everyone can do.
But so are modified SC(which was popular), many LotR games(assuming they're generally like the ones I've played, which all happened to be about the same), bounds, simple Rpg's, and probably more. Yet they're popular.
im a rper, its a very fun game. tobad of all the noobs that join though..
As long as you know how to put EVERY units in the game, you can make a RP map :/
And there's always some idiot screwing everything up, and you always get fcked up cuz there's another idiot trying to steal all the attention and it ends up with everyone hostilying everyone else...
S_P was right about that.
I don't see why people making Rp's don't use facotires(Barracks, Gateways, RoboFacils, etc) for spawning norm. units, though, less triggers, faster for the maker and the Rp'er, easier to get exact number you want and harder to mass while ordering your units to go kill others.
The only exception I can think of to what SP said(last 2 lines, not top) is when you're playing an Rp with just your friends, and even then the friends usualy have to know each other or the attention hogging gets even worse... \=
Aww, well.
Lol......What's an rp? *I am killed by a screaming mob* lol
uh...what's an rp? roll playing...how can you roll play online? It sounds like you download something...
Do you guys know how paranoid I am of downloading?
You know, Firekame, you're on a site called Staredit.net! Staredit is a Starcraft utility.
Get it?
Rp'ing is like what we're doing in the Fight Scene, except we're cutting out nearly everything but alliances and fighting.
when you Rp, oddly enough, you're not suppose to Rp as yourslef.
Forum Rpg's are played similar to the way an Rp is on B.Net.
The only difference would be the dungeom master. He's not there in Rp's.
Comparison between Rp's-
(Basic Rpg) Set storyline, set character names, lack of control over everything that goes on because of something you do.
(Rp) You do w/e the hell you want, storyline is made-up by the people, battles are, if TBC, though easier, more thought(a little) and less just leaving it upto your unit to slice the enemy to pieces, because TBC stands for "Turn BAsed Combat", and because of the lack of rules and limitations you can do your own made-up spells, characters have dialouge
(Rpg like Faith And Destiny) TBC at what could be caled by some it's best, set storyline(as far as I know), characters have dialogue(what I've played of it, atleast), and that's all I can think of right now.
