Basically what im trying to say is,

Do you think card counting is wrong? Why or why not?

I think that it is not wrong to count cards in casinos because technically, you are not using anything to help you win, except your mind, and if you can beat the system, there shouldn't be anything wrong about it.

No, its not wrong.

But its a lot more effective to learn the math equations and ratios when trying to get a perfect hand.

maybe if u brought a piece of paper to write down the cards which might let others see, then it'll be wrong, but if you keep it to urself, i think it's a good strategy

not wrong. it takes skills to card count. the only reason casinos say its wrong is because they loose money from the smart card counters

can someone explain exactly what card counting is. Ive heard of it but never knew what it was or what game u do it in

Card counting is not 'wrong.'

It flouts the rules of the game in Blackjack, for example, because it's supposed to be about luck and very simple strategy, but I say that if you're clever enough to count cards then it's the game that is flawed, not you because you can count cards.

Its not like someone can tell your card counting by looking at you, so its impossible to get punished for it, unless they kick you out of the casino for winning too much.[/sub]

It just shows you how casinos do not want you to win.. taking away every advantage you have.

Nothing wrong with using your brain. Casinos are in business for money, and it's simply a way of exploiting the system. It's not technically illegal, but most casinos throw you out immediately if they catch you doing it.

And Valug, the MIT Blackjack Team did master the system.

I think anything short of hacking the machines is all right. Period.

when i played my dad he got mad tho..said i was cheating..but he always encourages me to use my mind rofl

Usually in casino blackjack they use a total of 6 decks of cards at once. It's pretty hard to keep track of everything that way.

no its not wrong. Its like, when you make a bound, and you have a specific way its supposed to be possible. Then you go and play with someone else, and they beat it in a much easier, quicker way. Depending on whether you want it that way, or you wanted it to be hard, then you would go back and fix it so that it is more difficult. but you would never punish someone for getting through the obstacle their own way. If casino's have a problem with card counting then their dealers need to deal quick and fast and keep the game moving. But lets face it, you cannot kick people out because they are smarter than you. And ill tell you right now, casinos NEVER lose money. They only make less. I hate casinos and their money hogging. Its gross.

Even if it wrong, how would they ever figure out that you are doing it? I mean, someone would obviously get suspicious if you are beating the odds, but they can't kick you out. It's not like what you do with card counting cant be done without it.

I wouldnt do it often, as most casinos are run by the mob.

Well I think that any form of cheating is wrong even though it takes a very skilled brain to count cards.

I don't think card counting is wrong, because casinos get enough money ripping off the people who are stupid enough to waste all their money there, so it's only fair that we get to rip the casinos off, too.

The only reason casinos call it cheating is because it gives the smart player the advantage. Card counting is a strategy, not cheating.

It's definantly far from cheating. And 'Cheat' is a game also known as 'BS' or 'Bullshiz'.

That is my favorite card game... My dad doesn't like it because of its name.. He thinks it's childish -_-
