ok well... i was thinking about all the old school maps you know... the ones way back in 2000.... anyway i had 2 maps that i really love but unfortunately when my computer got wiped those maps were erased from my hard drive

if anyone has:
Defend the temple

i would very much appreciate it if you would give them to me.

This topic is for the Old school maps you love and for maps that you would like to get.
I am not sure if i put this in the right place so forgive me if i did.

Maps i love:

Defend the temple(my favorite)
Turret wars gradius
Nuke the whales
Bunker wars(original version 1)

There was an archon tag map I loved (not color, way before color)

You mean the one where you build and mine minerals and stuff. I loved that map.

My favorite oldest map I remeber is... Civilization Emerald. I Always love those games, but need a huge chuck of time.

Once I get my computer back I'll see if I have any of the old maps you guys are looking for. I still have all my maps from '01

i got Defend the temple from one of you oh so luvvable SEN Members.... so what if i cant remember his name... anyway i went to transfer it to my map folders and i saw another version of Defend the temple... heh... my bad i swear it just poped out of nowhere. but anyway

im sure legacy weapon will have tons of fun games. i remember way back in the day when there was the first defence... turret defence.

that map pwned all i tip my hat off to ghost-yoon my fav map maker

i remember playing Final Fantasy Total Madness...wow that map was fun back then

Blob Tag was the best back in 2000-2001, but then some person got inspired by the map and made the original archon Tag maps, which eventually made everyone forget about Blob Tag. And that Archon tag map was also very similar to Blob Tag, and very different from today's existing archon tag maps.

Evolves Madness is by far, the best madness map ever to exist. I still love it. I liked it when you had Science vessels as spawns and there were no mass attack beacons (so it required true skill).

Elements of Lurker Defense, still one of my favorite Lurker defense maps, ever. Although it's completely different from today's standards, it is still very fun and enjoyable.

Defend The Temple, this was the very first UMS map that I've ever played (my friend introduced it to me.) It was also my first exposure to UMS maps and I was just blown away at how customized and fun the game was.

Archon Tag is like Cat & Mouse, so you guys prolly like Cat & Mouse.

Cat & Mouse just doesn't have flooding ultralisks or bots. Both are a bit the same, and both pwns.

ahh, i remember snipers paintball that was when we had trees to cover our asses from fire and we didnt have to lock cuz unally was used XD now i cant be lazy in snipers bald lock

YES!!! I LOVE THAT GAME! they also made an elements of air defence with upgrades.... its probolly lost forever now.... -_-

you know what guys? we should have an oldschool map day where we only play oldschool maps any1 wanna help me orginize it?

What about the first Zergling Blood? I don't have it anymore but that was classic. Of course now all that can be found is Zergling Blood 4 and platinum. I forgot what the orignal was like.

Archon Tag ruled back then yep.. but cat and mouse are like wayy to rigged up nowadays, mostly for the mouses. I wonder why archon tag died out though?

I got the Nuke the Whales game...its just that I have problems sendin the attachment

The fact that I love old-school maps so much (because they're fun but at the same time uncomplicated) is one of the reasons why all my maps were made in that style.

Take Civ Massacre (Mass Murder), for example. It's one of the worst maps I've ever made but people played it for hours until they realised how rubbish it was.

Space-Survival was another map which was technically dire but some people still liked.

All the good old-school maps out there are based on one thing: fun. A lot of the last two year's maps were too concerned with being technically superior and the mappers have forgotten that fun and simplicity should be the first priorities when making a map (in my opinion).

Ah yes. I remember when we played some of your old maps Will...Good times...Good times. I also liked Crash RPG before all the different versions came out

Im not sure if Snowball Wars was out in the old days, but I like it

I loved Mole Hunt. Back in these days, people actually played it. Now whenever I make it, no one joins.

Sunken D was awesome back in the day now it is rigged like crazy.
