Every time i try to delete a certain desktop icon it says that is being used by another program... i know its not cause im not acually using it.. Is there anyway to get rid of it?

It's either you have two accounts in that computer or you made a duplicate file.

yeah... well you could go to run>msconfig and look for anything that looks like it might be using it.... or you can go to Ctr,Alt,Delete and go to the processes tab... i really hate those files... what is it anyway?

Most of the time just restart (cuz I can never find the program using the file anyways) and it should be able to delete.

ive done all that... still doesnt want to deleate, i even scaned it for viruses

Move the file into another folder. Then, delete it.
If all else fails, ctrl+alt+del and close every program you can (except explorer.exe or equivalent). You may also want to check the registry for start up (or get a program that makes this easier) and see if you have stuff running that shouldn't be there.
