What's so bad about bad grammar is that it makes things harder to read. I don't mind some things on the internet, like lol and the ones like it. but "u" and "b4" are annoying. I also don't care about grammar very much, unless it's so terrible it's annoying and I'm not great at it myself most of the time anyway. People who do it on instant messengers are just as bad as anywhere else too.
