You have to use SCMDraft and go to the dropdown menu for Options and then go to Units and then Allow Stack. Then, just select neutral>>resources>>mineral field and put 50 of them on top of eachother

ok i lied after taking a good look that didnt work all miners can not mine at the same time they all have to still wait there turn.. not like in fastest possible map where they all can mine off the same stack at same time..

Also....

Im trying to protect some of my maps but i cant get proedit to work.. getting error saying comdlg32.ocx is not right or something..
i installled runtimes and controlls and still its not working..

I'm not sure,
but maybe you should try using StarForge's "Stack Unit: [ ]" property. I think that's it.
I haven't used SF much, so I wouldn't know if this would do it, or any much at all about SF.

One problem is, your not doing anything they ask you to do. If you want to stack, then just keep clicking in one stop with the minerals. If you want to protect, save a map as authorized in Starforge. If your map skill is advanced, you wouldnt be asking a question like this.

Pinecode, the method that you said for stack is really crappy, and SF protection can be unprotected by SCU.

Try this:
-Open your map in SF
-Place the minerals
-Select the minerals
-Right click and select Stack
-Put the number of minerals, about 20 or 25
-Click ok and save the map

About the proedit thing, download that file from http://www.staredit.net/?download=362 and put it in your system folder or system32 folder.

I think that yoshi must add in the register web something like this, so the people can know what they must select:

Map Making Skill:

NONE - You don't want to make maps.

NEWBIE - You know how to use staredit and basic triggers, like Golem or Bound ones.
With this option people helping you will try to be as detailed as possible, and give you a lengthy explaination.

AVERAGE - You know how to use X-tra and how to use all the triggers. You can m ake maps like RPGs and you know some tricks like cloaking bunkers.
People will help you, but assume you already know how to make decent maps. May leave out details because they assume you know already.

ADVANCED - You know most of the map making tricks like gridsystems, and you know how to use StarForge and SCMD2.
People will help you and will assume you make very advanced maps. You wont get much explaination.

Yes; though as you can see most of us are now Advanced and well skilled, but unlike a large majority we are willing to help others to get really good to!

Money maps is where i started, about five years ago, before any real editors, and you just placed thousands on a plain map, ah those were the days!

Do as Clokr mentioned and all should be well!

Clokr_: Pine cone was refering to the system using SCM Draft. With SCM Draft to stack you must first enable stacking and (assumeing snap to grid is turned on) you must individually place the minerals one at a time over eachother. (its not like mineral "smearing" you get in SC-xtra)

The other (easy) method is to use Starforge. In starforge you simply place the minerals. Select and right click them, go to the stack option in the right click menu and type in how many you want stacked.

Coko: About the mapmaker skill. I don't know what it is like now because i havn't seen anyone who put there skill below average. But people do not or will not call themselfs a newbie most times. It is better to call that place "beginner". Also for advanced I wouldn't say anything about the grid system. (dumb name). Instead i would say something like "You are familer with all trigger actions and conditions and have experiance in all map editors. Knows how to create complex trigger systems without help."

The grid system is too much of a unknown stupid nick name for a really specific set of triggers that very few people know. Many people may be advanced and have no idea what a "grid system is" or know it is called that.
