i have been playin this game for sum time and figured it would be a great idea for a starcraft map, tell if its a good idea... smile.gif

Note: we used to be with phpBB but i change to invision because the admin cp is much more flexible.

The game is pretty much as that you build up a planet,
build a fleet, and raid other planets for resources smile.gif
Also, u can research a lot. its easier to understand once u start playing the game...
when ur in an alliance, u can also get into a war happy.gif...
u should sign up and check it out!


Small Guide:

Ok at the start u would best to start building/upgrading ur metal mine.
After u build it u should either 1. upgrade it or 2. build ur solar plant.
when ur metal mine is atleast lvl 3-4, u should start with crystals.
when ur crystal mine and metal mine is lvl 4 or above, u should be set from there..
Deuterium is not a good way to start, it is only needed later in the game.

When u have finished ur mines i would suggest to work towards gettn up ur deuterium mine. a lvl 3-4 deuterium will do for a while..

Now u have all 3 types rolling in cool1.gif u should start working on ur shipyard

To get the shipyard u gotta build/upgrade the robotics facility to lvl 2.
Dont forget to keep ur metal mine on a high lvl, followed closely behind with ur crystal mine, with ur deut mine next.

From here u should be alright to get going on ur own.
If u need any other help on what to build, or research, go to the technology page.
Also, the research station should be built after u get ur shipyard.

incase ur wondering..
My metal mine is lvl 13, crystal mine is lvl 12, duet mine is lvl 11.

Tips:
make sure to keep ahead of ur power supply. i will explain ur power numbers.

The number on the left is how much power i have to spare, when it goes into negative numbers (-), u should upgrade ur solar plant, or, find some other way to increase ur energy. another way is to go to the resources page, and set something to a lower percentage (%) untill the number on the left is either 0 or above. if ur pwoer is -1 or -2 or something really close to 0, then it wont affect ur income... much... but u should still upgrade it

Dont put ur deut mine too high, it isnt needed on a high level. to gain the most duet u should attack planets with high lvls of it... about 7.000 will be enough smile.gif

My main income is now current raiding. i am constantly probing other's planets, then raiding defenseless planets for their valuable resources greedy.gif shifty.gif

Slang:
deut = deuterium
rips = Rest in peices (death stars)
res = Resources (metal, crystal, dueterium)

Its a good online game but I think it will ruin the effect when you incorporate into starcraft. Hard to make "raiding other people for resources" any fun in a starcraft game.

Probably becuase they are too into starcraft to venture out and find what other games are out there.

kinda sounds like the old Star Trek Diplo lol but without the trekiness...could be pretty fun though biggrin.gif

smile.gif it will be a good map, with being able to research, get lvls of stuff, and ect tongue.gif

i think the lvls will prove to be a bit of a challenge so im gunna have to think up a formula for how much res u get for what lvls tongue.gif.
im thinking of something like:

Description:
Upgrade Metal Mine
Players:
¤ Any player
Conditions:
¤ Player brings atleast 1 metal mine (barracks or w/e) to "planet"
Actions:
¤ Create 1 "lvl unit" at "metal mine lvl"
¤ Preserve Trigger


this might be the trigger i use for buildings that are already built tongue.gif (like lvl 0 metal mine give 20 metal an hour)

for the ones that u dont start with anything:

Description:
Build Shipyard
Players:
¤ Any player
Conditions:
¤ Player brings atleast 1 Shipyard to "planet"
¤ Player brings atleast 2 "lvl units" at "Robotics Factory lvl"
Actions:
¤ Create 1 "lvl unit" at "Shipyard lvl"
¤ Move Shipyard at "planet" to "shipyard"


if there is no 2 robotics factory, it is pretty much common sense to not build it. as u can check whether u can or not tongue.gif
