Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> Miscellaneous -> Connection Problem

A couple days ago my dad set up this SunRocket gizmo (literally, it's called the Gizmo) with our modem and AirPort. It allows phone calls to be made over the internet. However, now when I try to host games on Battle.net, I lag horribly and no one can join, and when I join games I also lag horribly and drop soon after the game starts.

Setup is as follows:

Cable line --> Modem <--Ethernet Cable--> SunRocket Gizmo <--Ethernet Cable--> AirPort Extreme --> Thing that transmitts the signal to all computers in the house.

I've tried numerous different wire configurations, but all of them simply interrupt the internet connection. I believe there was originally only a cable going from the Modem to the AirPort.

Does anyone know how I can remedy this?

Try doing the directions in this site. You have to select the router then the game first, but I'm not sure if they will have that router. http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm

Okay...I read a few things about routers before doing anything with that, but I still don't quite understand how this will help.

Your router has to be blocking the connection and port fowarding allows the program to be run through your router without being blocked.
