Made it for the Travin Speedmapin' competition, but touched it up a bit after the 45 minute time limit and the winner was chosen. Tell me what you think of it. happy.gif

Holy shnikies! I dont like parallel maps much (I like a more natural feel...), but that is pretty cool. It can like... turn out a big or small battle... Big and small... Weird...

Right, anyway, thats pretty cool, Im definately playing this.

Well, I was crunched for time so I just made a quick design and I came up with that. Doesn't really stand for anything, just a swirly design. tongue.gif

but i just realized, the two expos in the mid are on raised jungle but thats still cool

I'd hit it.

No major errors. My only gripe is that only the 2 expos at mid left/mid right are the only "neutral" ones, the rest are pretty designated.

I like it, nice ying yang tongue.gif

Mind you, blues base is more easily defensible with static defense, because the entrance is farther dug in. Terran could park tanks on the side and bombard units coming up the ramp for an attack. Lurkers, temps with storm, cannons and sunkens even. Put the ramp at the edge of the base and its great =)

Looks like a pretty good map to me, although I see a terran player double expo'ing at the start and being a little biznatch, if you know what I mean.

Actually, blue's nat is harder to defend. The gas is much more open to ranged fire and could easily be destroyed taking little or no damage from static defense. (ex. MnM in tvz could kill it without taking much damage.)

I think that the ramps up to the high ground in the corners isn't going to be used much.
I would consider adding a min only to help that be part of the game. Also, only tanks and stuff will be able to do any real damage there, so its kinda.. I dunno...

decaf is right.. if your going to put one geyser beside a ramp, put the other one there too.

My point still stands that the cliff leaves bombardment an option.

I placed the geysers where they are because if I placed one the other way, it would mine slower from 3 peons and be a bit unfair. For some of the expansions, I usually ignore it because pretty much everyone can take an expansion and the first few bundles of gas at the beginning before the macro war are most important. I will think about adding the mineral only expansion. And I did that for the cliff because if I didn't, lurkers behind mineral line would be a bit too powerful early game. I might do something about that, also.

It doesn't matter as much at the natural/expos. balancing position for safety is more important than a slight difference in amount of peons needed. The mains are all that it really matters for.
