What do you all think about learning any random thing? Does learning new things interest you? I simply cannot stop trying to find something new to learn. The internet is such a great tool to learn things. Knowing stuff is cool and spending the hard work and time gettting to understand something that not an everyday person knows is awesome! I am weird I guess. When I get bored I have the urge to learn something like the lifecycle of an african swallow. This would really bore me if I wasn't already bored. When I start learning something I think I will really like I spend hours, days, weeks, months learning it. Then I get bored and learn something boring....lol.
It's better to know a little about a lot of things than to know a lot about a few things.

I love learning, no matter what It is. For me knowledge is like an amazing food that you cannot stop eating, its like that when I learn new things about physics or time/time travel its like taking a big chunk of that food. For some reason even the most boring subject can catch my attention, like yesterday I was flipping channels when I stopped at the Discovery channel and learned that after 10 years about 10% of the weight of the pillow is from dustmites (those little things that eat dead skin cells) this seems like an incredibly boring subject, and it still does now, but at the time just the fact of learning something new was enough to overcome the feeling of increasing bordem.

I like this way of thinking, its where I get a lot of my ideas
because I know about a broad range of things instead of only a select few, even though I still like to know an exceptional amount more in a subject that particularly interest me. Like areonautical/aerospace engineering (my future proffesion and college major)
Im not a big fan of hardcore studying and schoolwork but i agree with you guys. Im trying to learn html and pretty soon i might get into programming. eek.

HTML is farrr from real programming, but its a great place to start

I tried taking some visual basic tutorials like 2 years ago.
It was some mind boggling

.

hmm I'd rather learn a few big but important things and improv the small things. It works well for me

I'm learning C++, its so wierd! But great fun, can make loops now!
*cough nerd cough* no j/k but dude theres got to be sumthiing better to do. hang out, get a girlfriend, play PS2 or sumthing. theres better things to do

What do you think PHP is based on and what do you think this website is programmed in?
PHP i dont no and i dont care. this website is programed by a computer and software. i could make one but i dont really wanna waste my whole life on it (no offence)
This website is made in php if you haven't noticed.
And, you're too lazy to learn how to make a website, so thats the real reason why you don't want to bother.
I don't waste my whole life on this website, but its what I do whatever I'm on the computer. Learning complex things is a big thing for me.
I also spend time for girls, working out, going out with friends etc
You outta watch your words.
the only real way i no how to make a website is tripod or something
Better things to do with learning?
Everything you do is learning, though you may not be intentionally studying.
I like learning misc. facts, though I have VERY VERY rarely actualy got into studying something other than mythology and school related things.
I.e. studying some music composer for my 5th period; music.
humm i guess maybe just a little that knoledge is usefull
learning is great i love learning new

from where harry potter is going next to how to mod halo its alll fun.
I'm certainly interested in learning, and in finding knowledge (which is defined as belief that is true by philosophers), but only in things that interest me.
Researching a swallow... boring under any circumstances.
Researching philosophy... interesting under any circumstances.
Researching religion... interesting under most circumstances, but when you get religious bigots and the like, it can get very frustrating.
But, yeah, I'm definitely for learning more stuff, but I don't think I'd gobble up any random information with vigor.

well one thing that does nterests me is mythology and thats stuff. especailly egyptian mythology
