I started to play World Of Warcraft and I don't know which class is better. Mage has all the special Offensive spells, but the Druid can attack, heal, and chaneg into animals. Which one should I have and suggest the Race I should play them as.

My choices.

Night Elf Druid
Gnome Mage
Human Druid
Human Mage

Please Alliance only.

I have a 55 Undead Mage and I've had fun since day 1. It's pretty hard to play a mage, since you don't have healing spells and very little defense. You have to stay away from melee range of Melee classes and try to counterspell enemy spells or absorb them, while unleashing offensive hell.
Mages have extremely high burst damage.

Druids on the other hand, most of my friends that playd a druid didn't really like their role. Mages role is damage, Druid does the ocasional heal and stuff. Druids aren't really good at anything, they are average at everything. Also druids don't do a lot of damage and don't heal a lot, so in solo, you might find yourself healing yourself a lot more than you might think.

If you want to kill lots of players while trying to evading the enemy, and want a good challenge go for Mage. If you want easy mode, and have a counter for everything, go Druid.

Humans can't be druids.

I'd say go for Gnome Mage.

BTW: Horde > Alliance

WTF??
Alliance only?
Undead Mage < Gnome Mage, I'll admit
Tauren Druid > Night Elf Druid, by far

Come to Dethecus! And Beer, you should transfer to us.

ADDITION:
Druids are more the Jack of all Trades, btw. They can tank, stealth, heal, etc.

Seriously, please oh please don't be Alliance.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll stay in Archimonde. My dad, uncle and people I know in real life play there so I'd like to stay there.

Aww i'm the only sucker who picked druid. I think there cool like the one in warcraft but it depends really what does the mage do?

Mage is all about offense.

Mage can create food and water for friends.

Mage can turn enemies into sheep.

Mage has some powerful spells and some bulks.

9 levels, trust me, isn't much. That only applies to the first 10, from there on it's harder. Please re-roll Horde.

Druid for sure. And I would have been Tauren (Currently I'm power levling one of those so I can go to MC with one of the big horde guilds on my server. Almost only played Alliance so far tongue.gif).

I'm currently not playing much because of limited time. And it's via in-game invitation only, so it'll be hard to get you in the initiation process.
BTW: We are a small clan around 20ish casual players. Could be around 40 since I haven't been on in a few months.

Bah, come to Dethecus, get to 20, and I can get you in Equal Rights. 100+ active members. We have such an obsessed leader, though. Which is good, I guess.

Don't do mage or druid. Do warlock. Warlocks in the right hands are easily the most deadly class period. Both at pvp AND pve. If you're not good with lots of buttons, and you can't think on your feet or plan out strategies too well, then warlock is just not for you.

If you go lock, pm me. I'll give you all the details on how to kick ass against every class.

Warlock is mainly the most suicidal class too. You are basically training with melee and pets. You only have cloth, and Soul Shards take space too...

A spellcaster with a pet? Warlocks own if played well. Of course, Druid/Shaman - WoW: Easy Mode

I can easily tell you havn't done lock too much. I won't go much into detail, I'll just tell you some basics:

Demonology lock at lvl 50 can take about 5,500 damage w/ out trump card spells or pots. (Very rarely do you use even 1 trump card in a fair 1v1 pvp)

W/ trump cards and pots, about 9,500-10,500; This is insane. (Also, the heals for lock are instant to almost instant. Which is extremely good for pvp)

Although a lock can only wear cloth, with void as summon he gets 10% physical resistance, and with soul link, 30% of ALL damage taken goes to the summon instead. Infact, I didn't even count those in for the general estimations above. So add about 500-750 to each one.

Also, locks are supposed to use wands not daggers/swords. They don't rely on melee at all, unless you're in a very strange circumstance or at start of game. And with their curses that can be casted INSTANTLY in ANY DIRECTION, you can run away while still causing good damage. Which is great for taking down ?? Warriors.

There are so many more things, I can easily go on.

Only major downsides to locks are the soul shards taking up inventory, and the skill required to use them. I have not met one person so far who uses lock to it's full potential. Hell, I don't even think I use it to it's full potential.

Side Note - I finally noticed you want alliance only. Lock is best for horde due to shamans. (Shamans can rape locks I hear, but since they're on our side, I don't need to worry about that) And it's also best to go undead for lock too, for various reasons.

Actually, I fear only Priests and Warlocks...
And Druid and Paladins fear me.
It's great when people two levels higher than you haul ass in the other direction.

Well yes, Warlocks are not suicidal after a few levels, but to me, it is hard to train them the first few levels....

The problem with Warlocks is that they can either deal a whole lot of damage or take a lot of it, but not both.
I leveled with a Warlock since like lvl25 to lvl55 and I can play almost flawlessly with a warlock on my Mage. Warlocks aren't very good on solo PvP, but with one other teamate, they can cause hell.

That's the way it should be, but it isn't.

They can always take a huge amount of damage. All the healing spells take almost no mana to use and they only take 0 - 1/2 a sec to cast. So in other words, 95% of the time you're on offence. No matter what. And you're doing good dps on offence too. Demonology locks need to be nerfed.

They're also the best at solo pvp. I have a 50-60 winning streak going on right now. And my gear is barely mediocre.

One tragic flaw to warlock is, they take a while to get ready if you can some how kill one. It takes a lock w/ soul shards about 2-3 min to get ready again. And w/ out shards, about 4-7 min. And locks are almost nothing w/ out their shards.

For my Mage, Warlocks are the easiest class I can kill in a solo PvP.
