I just got a letter from johns Hopkins university and was wondering how good it is? I have heard that is was pretty prestigious, but then why would they contact me without the visa versa happening?
This made me think of what other colleges would be decent. I have looked into some colleges, and the ones that really strike me as fascinating are CalTech, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Budapest, and the Indian Institute of Technology. (You can tell I am into the technical institutes.) Are there any colleges that stand out in your minds as being good to go to?
University of Missouri.
EDIT: and Wash-U ( Washington University ) which is also in missouri.
UC Berkeley for computer.
Harvard-U,
- Harvard University
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- University of Cambridge
- University of Oxford
- Stanford University
- University of California at Berkeley
- Yale University
- California Institute of Technology
- Princeton University
- Ecole Polytechnique, France
Those are about as presitigous as you can get. Good luck getting in with all of them probably having a less than 10% acceptance rate.
Im planning to go to Rochester Institute of Technology. Its a wonderful college if you like tech.

University of Scranton
Penn State
Virginia Tech
Syracuse
I've applied to the following universities:
King's College, University of London
Royal Holloway, University of London
Warwick University
University of East Anglia
University of Wales, Aberystwyth
University of Edinburgh
The best colleges out there don't always give you the best future.
Look at Michael Dell, he dropped out of College (which happens to be UT at Austin) and look at him; very successful man who owns a huge computer company.
Look at George W. Bush. He went to... Harvard? or Yale? And look at him now. Infamous, hated by many, and got our country into big troubles.
It really depends on what you want to do with your future. Usually if you go to a super good college, like Harvard or Yale for instance, the classes are going to be extremely tough and competitive and it's going to be hard to earn a degree or graduate. I had a friend who graduated in 2004. He was ranked number 3 out of like 600 people in his class and he went to Yale. Now he's basically suffering there since he's now in the Bottom half of his classes.
ADDITION:
Although it is recommended to get into a Good college, but the most important thing you should keep in mind is know what you are getting into (such as school competition, your future job, etc)
UT at austin

woooo. harvard, yale, ATM hehe.. i don't know any i'm only 15

but i still know enough.
i have an account on this site called www.collegeboard.com its great for all this crap.
Yeah as do I, but I didn't like many of the colleges it said I would like.

King's College, University of London
This wouldn't happen to be the one made from the gothic period? (One of the first fan vaulting ceilings?) If so I'd be like wow!
Washington State University is a good choice if you don't get your #1 or #2 picks.
