Our school blocked image searching as well. On every version of google. And blocked all other search engines. We had a workaround for a while but they caught on... They also blocked all the proxy servers, so my friends and I are looking to set up a proxy server of our own.

If anything like that happens at my school we break onto the administrative account and turn them off. Also change all backgrounds to "OMFG IT FOLDS UP!1" I go through Google India anyway.
