Staredit Network -> Miscellaneous -> Christmas or X-mas?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kow on 2005-12-15 at 17:23:02
I personally think it's better as Christmas, unless you're very limited on space (jotting down notes or on boxas). Keep the Christ in Christmas. Without him, there'd be no 'holiday season'.

Uhhhh... what about Hanukkah, New Years, Kwanza, etc...

That's not the point. Do you use 'Christmas' or 'X-mas'?

Time for part 3045 on Stephen COlberts...

CAMPAIGN AGAINST HUMBUGGERY

Keept he christ in christmas, it's this time of year that we can be intolerant to YOUR crappy traditions.

The x comes from 'Christ'. Like how they have signs that say 'Deer X-ing'

@ Voyager:
I don't think december would be as famous for holidays if Christmas wasn't here.

I'm going to a concert that's called something like 'Deck the X-mas tree' or somthing like that (The one time I need to remember pinch.gif) Local bands play there, but it's pronounced 'Exmas Tree' in the name.

Its because people hate Christ and put X to cross it out.

Lousy colbert switched to the

CRUSADE AGAINTS CHRISTMAS

Noting that Holiday is an acient word meaning holy day. So just like saying Merry Jesus to you.

You know X-Mas was only like an abbreviation for Christmas to start out with. A good spoof for a street sign too.

In most religions, being rude to your god is not a good thing, believe it or not.
