I'm going to put this simple for you people. PS2's suck. i mean i went out bought a new game and what a surprise it didnt work. There wasnt one scratch on the game and it always says disc read error.... whats with that? Its pretty simple and easy to say they are crap. Seriously, i have about 10 games for the ps2. 2 work for it. Thats pretty screwed up.

I have never had a problem with my ps2. There is a way to fix that too.

That happena lot. When i overplay my ps2, cd error occurs often. So i call this ps2 fixer and he told me stuff. Open up the ps2, using screwdrivers. then clean the lense of PS2 with cottom swabs. If u dip them into those cd cleaner and wipe the lense, its better. But either way it works out.

I never had a problem with my PS2 before, but I heard about this disc read error.

There is a solution, try this

Here

Just go to one of the disc read error FAQs, they might help you.

Get Sony to replace for free, only like your Bill Gates Xboxes. Mine stopped reading blue discs after 4 years, and they gave me a new one in 3 days. As long as you didnt physically damage it, youll get a new one for free, and it will go in a chain like that forever.

So why dont you lift one finger to do something about it rather than rush to the computer to tell us.

If it's a 2.7 just open the cover and push up the laser reader.

Dude like wtf I was slamming my cds against the floor and then they wouldn't work!! WTF EVERY SINGLE CD IN THE WORLD SUCKS ASS.
Just because your Ps2 doesn't work doesn't mean they all suck, it means you got unlucky and the chance of getting a bugged Ps2 when they came out were sort of high. I got mine when Vice City came out, so it was all good biggrin.gif

All used i'm assuming, there's a really low chance (And I mean like .05%) that all 3 of them don't work. Maybe you should check the enviroment their in, near any chainsaws?

I've hardly ever had a problem with my ps2, except that one-scratch disc read error. Oh well, and my troubles connecting it to the internet,(which I never succeded) I'm bored of my PS2 anyways, more of the same. I want my gamecube back!

Screw PS2's, they should all go die. My friend's died just from a few hours of play once. He bought a new one, a year later read disk error on like, everything.

Most PS2's aren't in their old gen anyway, they're fixed.
Also the bugs with the 360 can be fixed within months and it happens with any new system, PS2, GC, and Xbox.

PS2s rock your just impatient. Turn the PS2 on... take a cotton swab and clean the lens with some cleaner and voila... The same thing happened to me and I thougt it broke so I bought a new one then I found out all you had to do was clean the eye... so I sold it at EB$h1tgames for a whopping $70...But... its not like computers or Xboxs dont have the same problem! Everything will glitch or scratch eventually and you just gotta live with it and stop complaining tongue.gif

Yeah... it tend to happen to the controls ALOT... Whenever I go over to my friend's place to play Halo or something they always give me the frickin defected controller that moves even when you don't tell it too! Every console has its faults... Also if you play on the Xbox alot and you play games it'll ruin them...

@Your Quote: I'd find it hard not to put physical damage to your PS2 if it stops working, a sledgehammer would be in order IMO.
