I need an idea for a map. I don't like making rpg's or even playing them. I like making movie maps but has anyone one got a good idea for a movie? Has anyone made the starcraft version of Narnia (The Lion, Witch And The Wardrobe)? If they havent l could make that

i've never actually heard of a serious SC movie...they have ALL been comedies haven't they? you should make a spoof on narnia

That would be funny, you could have Aslan instead of a lion to be a mouse or something like that. If it was a comedy people would then watch it, but if it was similar to the movie then people would just watch the movie

There would probally be too many units used to make a movie like that and starcraft doesnt have a ton of units to use

True, but it could be done! Just wouldnt have as many talking "creatures" as in the movie/book. Actually come to think of it you would have to make the talking "creatures" and enemy "creatures" both zerg which would be crap since you couldn't make them protoss or terran so ok scrap that idea anyone got a better idea?

Read my topic about "the cube". It was a movie made in like 1996/1997. You could make a big map with square rooms or something and when you reach a doorway, you could display text 3 numbers and go by the math in the movie...which is if any of the numbers has factors that are composite numbers, then its a trap. For the trap, you can hurt the players or something...
Then again...just an idea.

A bound movie map now that would be interesting but really hard to make. And about making a need for speed, halo or counter strike movie it doesn't really take my fancy thanks anyway for the idea. I'll just keep thinking

Hmmm...you could turn The Wind and the Willows into an rpg...I dont remember the movie cause I was really young at the time...but I do remember it was some short dude...don't remember if there were any companions with him on his quest to something I don't remember.
You could make a 4 player game of Terminator or something. One being Terminator, one being a John and depending on which movie, you can be Sarah or that other chick from T3. And one more for being T1000 or that super hot villain from T3. Pretty much have those 4 controlled by humans and one computer for the towns or something. And you can create your game through the story line. (Eg. In T2, you can have Sarah start off in some asylum and try to escape and while she escapes John and Terminator can arrive.)
You could make a totally different version of Day After Tomorrow...you can be creative with that cause I have no ideas on that one.
I haven't seen Dinotopia...

Jaws would be fun to make...except units can't swim...But you can substitute it with dirt or perhaps creep...
I don't have any ideas for Scary Movie other than the one that is already out.
Matrix would be interesting to make. I'd say make number 1 and maybe 3 but not 2. 1 and 3 had some interesting elements you can add in SC. Like training Neo in 1 or the last battle in 3.
Lastly, Harry Potter. You could make Harry, Ron, and Hermione worker units and when they want to cast spells, you could maybe use the corner of the map to make beacons and their spells and have a duplicate of them to control the spells. You can have spells that are used in the game. [Eg. The Philosopher's Stone: Spells available can be "Unlock Doors", "Mount on Broom" (but only in the training grounds or something...), and nothing else much...That is for Harry Potter (seeing how he's a total idiot and deserved to die cause he is just plain stupid in school...not much of a role model...)] You can start off in Hogwarts who will attend their first class. And pretty much follow the storyline of the first book, or the second, or whichever.
That is pretty much my ideas so far. Whether you use them or not, that is entirely up to you, since it is your map. Not completely satisfied? You could state some other movies you enjoy. I appologize if I couldn't come up with any ideas for the movies I haven't seen or remembered.

Do some scenes from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy [book]. Alot of those could easily be done (Vogon ship=BC, Heart of Gold=Carrier, etc)
