I had so many ideas for my map, i thought I had to make it somewhere somehow... if anyone has done the same or plans to be the same, please contact me because more people learning the same thing means learning more from each other, right?

Game maker may not be the best, but it's some place to start... and all I really want is to implement my idea and story, not have the next biggest MMORPG...

Did you register your game maker? If you did you could make your own version of starcraft.

Game maker is a pretty powerful tool if you can do all the coding. I can't so I end up with simple things.

Yes, GM can virtually do anything with coding except an OS. But few people make Sub-OS.

Why not just make your own visualbasic? Its actually quite basic if you have some time on your hands.... gm sucks in my oppinion.
