Really, having all the chrismas decoration and then going Happy Holidays has no point.

Also, it is only the guy who is writting it that thinks they are being policitaly correct. If I didin't celebrate I won't really care or get offended if the person sayed Merry Christmas to me. No one really cares.

the government has the right to make holidays

they made a holiday in winter for non-christians so that they could have a yearly break
if you're an atheist, you should say happy holidays
and if you're a christian, you should say merry christmas

Because you know, its not like "Happy Holidays" and "Merry Christmas" have the same connotations or anything.

Personally, I say Merry Christmas. I accidently said that to one of my teachers before break. A few days later I literally woke up in the middle of the night and said "HOLY SHIZ! He's Jewish!" aw man. I felt bad. sad.gif

And the funny thing about christmas is that it was developed to cover up the Winter Solstice, and Jesmas was actually born in June-ish (according to records), or so I've learned. Ah, the irony.

Being an athiest doesnt prohibit me from saying MERRY CHRISTMAS.. It can still be a useless holiday with no meaning but to give and get a bunch of crap. I mean, it kind of already turned into that for everyone. =P

Mer-ry Christ-mas = 4 syllables
Hap-py Hol-i-days = 5 syllables

Merry christmas is better.
