Personally i think the fun level is the more important part.

That shouldn't even be a question. If you want a good storyline read a book or watch a movie...

Mainly a good game would have both...I think gameplay is better because ti has much more to the storyline...And ya...Go watch a movie or read a book.

There are games where you can only play for storyline, and games where the storyline is awful but play the game anyway. I find it rare that good storyline games have bad controls though.

fun level is most important because:

- lets other people enjoy the game as well
- the storyline may not even be good
- fun level generally can replace the storyline
- good story line cannot exost with out good fun level

I enjoy some games like Soul Calibur 2, which have great gameplay, but the storyline is pathetic. Then there are games like Eternal Darkness or Second Sight, where the gameplay is meh, but the plot drives me in.

I can stand games with great gameplay, poo plots as well as great plot, okay games. Right now, I'm trying to play RPGs for their plots, but I CAN'T STAND TURN BASED! So really, it's a tragedy.

Well... The storyline for me has to be very good (like Halo's and Starcraft's) but if it is not AWESOME storyline I won't play it... Unless it was farkING KICKASS GAMEPLAY! (CS and DoD)

Halo's storyline isn't that good if you ask me.
The best storyline = Icewind Dale smile.gif

I DEFINITELY care more about the storyline. I can even overlook a few design flaws for a good story. While reading and watching movies is fun, if you're drawn into the story of a video game, you feel as though YOUR life is in peril along with the characters you control. It's rare to find a game like that, but if you do, WHOA!

I like Gameplay more. I think, most of the time, it is more fun if the gameplay is better and won't be more fun just because the storyline is better. But it sure won't hurt to have both of them good.

Should I vote - or -?

very good poll
uhh okay

i think the fun level matters the most, i mean who cares about the a storyline? gameplay 2nd. fun level is the best factor, any type of game can get addicting as long as it has a good fun level. 2nd is gameplay features are important for a game being fun, mroe features = more fun, and storyline isnt a big factor, it might reflect on the coolness of the game, even though some storylines out there intrigue me, like doom 3's storyline and FEAR's.

welp.

thats my basis on this matter

I care about storyline only when it is REALLY good, but mp is a big thing for me. If the mp isn't fun or gameplay, then fark that game. smile.gif
