How do you download Movies onto an iPod video? I received one for Christmas and all I got on it are videos and music. Any help is appreciated.

You need to convert the files to the .mp4 or .m4a file to make it work on your ipod. And videos and movies are the same thing, you still need to convert the files. There is a program that does the converting much faster than the quicktime pro one. imTOO iPod Movie converter, but you need to pay for it if you want to use it legally to get the registration key.

The only movies you can put on without paying any amount of money, outside of getting the movie, is from the Music store on iTunes. Just drag and drop.

OR! If you have Quicktime Pro 7 (There are cd keys and names, if you search google. I won't link here though), you can convert video into the format it requires. It takes hella long time, but what's your time worth?

Once you get pro, open the video that you want converted. Go to File > Export, and choose the directory you want to save. Before you save, though, go to the bottom of the window. It says something, but you can change it to iPod format. Do that, and then wait.

I'm working on a video for it right now. Taking hella long -.-.

Don't use quick time pro, it took me 2 hours to get 35% on a 258mb show but with that program, it finnished in 2 minutes. It works a lot fastr than Quicktim Pro.

Music & Sound have to do with things you can hear, not technical support for people to lazy to read an FAQ. This wouldn't even qualify for Video...

Yeah, I just downloaded ImTOO, and it rocks. It's a lot faster, and I managed to get a registration key for it. Not that I (skottykow on AIM) would know anything about it ermm.gif

I know that for macs you can get a free program called iSquint. It's the fastest converter for movies that I've seen, plus you can customize the videos for television playability or compress them for less storage on your iPod.
It can convert any form of video into .mp4, which is playable by iPod video. (besides .mov for some reason)

I noticed a bit of an off-sync on the video. I'm testing to see if it's prior or post transfer onto the iPod.

Edit: It's definantly Prior.

I think thats simply your videos themselves. Most of mine work fine, but I've noticed a slight delay in a few.

It only does it for about 2/3 of the movies, so It's really just trial and error untill I get them all good now.
