Staredit Network -> Lite Discussion -> Being Mature!
Report, edit, etc...Posted by StarCraft411 on 2005-12-25 at 15:52:13
Well, last night, I had a conversation with my friend, we were having a quite a nice conservation, suddenly after awhile he started saying things like " Grow up, you immature little boy, haha, 15year old ". He claimed that since I was 15, I was immature. He kept calling me " Small boy, small *you know what*, small brain, and bla bla bla. " he also told me, " Grow up, your not one of us adults yet, you gotta be 18 to be mature you piece of f****** s***. I don't friggin' know if this is the friggin' definition of maturity, but I friggin' know one thing, friggin' maturity ain't in the age itself, it's in the attitude itself, THAT'S maturity, if you think that I'm wrong, than fine, I don't care, I just wanted to make this thread to show people that just because your 15 or any other age like 12 or 10, doesn't mean you can't act and be mature.

your friend is the immature one and is saying you have a small wang because in reality he's trying to hide the fact that he actually has the small wang. He's also not an adult (by the law he is) but he really isn't. When he grows up he will be.

You notice when you get in a fight with some one they always call you immature or stupid or a kid? well if there like:

Immature one:Omfg noob you retard, you arent supose to go there. i said follow me. stupid kid.

^-Thats immature. Allthough age really doesnt matter in a fight. At least it shouldnt.

The most common form of immaturity I see is swearing.

Right, age has nothing to do with maturity. There are things that, for instance, a 12 year old cannot do or figure out that a 25 year old could, but emotional maturity has a lot to do with attitude, and knowing all the things you COULD say in a situation, but choosing not to say them. Self discipline is a HUGE maturity factor, in my opinion.

Amen.

I also agree. Swearing is a common form of immaturity.

I think the biggest immaturity is thinking that you are more mature than someone else simply because you are older. Your friend really needs to grow up and realize that age isn't the only determining factor in maturity. He also seems like something set him off though. Did you perhaps saying anything, because usually unless someone is unstable they don't just say stuff like that out of nowhere.

Exactly.. To an extent.

I don't hide the fact I have a small wang when I say people have smaller wanges than I, because I don't have a small one. I'm rather large (Above average I should say)

fark you, you farking meanie! Go eat a motherfarking wang!

I'm immature because I like to use vulgarity instead of "Screw", "Butthole", "Mother Screwing"?

That is okay reasoning, but imo, it's flawed.

Just because someone swears, does not make them immature.

I agree to an extent.

Maturity imo, is the ability to handle situations like an "Adult"

I.E. Someone is biznatching up a storm at you. The most mature thing to do, would be to talk in a calm, and sentual voice. Not screaming and yelling like the other.

fark it. Everyone here tends to be trend whores, and hate people because others do. THAT is immaturity (Yes SEN, you're all immature illegitimate childs because you hate me because one person does. farking whities)

Now. Was that mature? No.

Everyone here needs to learn to not follow others' actions. Just because someone dislikes someone, doesn't mean you have to (THAT is mature)

So yeah. Take my farking advice, you stupid doo doo heades bleh.gif

EDIT: doo doo head(es)? What the fark!? I farking hate this filter -_- Isn't the farking disclaimer when you join the site, supposed to explain that the site's content could be vulger? farking pussies.

Maybe so, but cursing won't help in that situation. Therefore, no cursing would help end the problem faster.

Uhh.. Kellimoose, those words are immature too. They just aren't vulgar.

Immaturity is swearing (repedively) [excuse my spelling... blushing.gif ], not saying things like, Thank You, or thanks, or, saying what you what do if somebody came into your house and robbing it. What I mean is, like, "I have a Chinese sword at home and if anybody comes, they'll be in for a big suprise!" (or somethng like that..) And also, at school, you are copying other people, or calling out, FOOD FIGHTS! Also, if you are selfish...

In other words, saying or doing childish things = immature.

Wrong. It means the only way you can express yourself is through words that are not appreciated. Like a little kid who has no way to express himself except through violence.

It is immature.

Age has nothing to do with maturity. Statisically, though, older people generally are more mature.

The swearing thing, I'm not so sure on. I won't use it in arguements or debates, but I do curse when I'm in school or with my friends.

Ditto, but I try to refrain from it.
