NetHack 3.4.3

Essentially the very first, initially ASCII graphicized, RPG on a computer. I picked it up again recently and am hooked. Anyone else at SEN play? I first saw it years upon years ago when the only computer I had was a crappy NeXT running UNIX (NetHack being one of the most cross-platform games).

Here

^A really exceptional guide to NetHack^

I'm so foolhardy at the beginning, I love to quaff fountains in hopes of releasing a freindly water demon. (wishing for a blessed +2 black dragon scale mail). Farthest I got to was Dlvl 9 (after clearing Sokoban and the Gnomish Mines, yes I know I suck) and I got turned to stone (hate that).

So.. anyone else play?

Oh yeah, I'm always a neutral male Human Wizard, my fav character.

Haha this happened just after I posted:

After dying time after time from quaffing fountains I had to get lucky sometime.

I remember when someone I know was playing this game and they started to fade away from their life. I heard it was addicting, but I got some other things to do tongue.gif

Once I get on my other comp, I'll try it out.

I've yet to give NetHack a serious chance, but if you like Roguelikes, one based on the Doom series, DoomRL, has taken a good bit of time away from my SC life.
