uhh the easiest type of Ums map to make would probally be a bound you just need to use Xtra editor for the triggers because starforge is too advanced for most new makers but its fine for terrain and unit placing

woot go bounds lol i think thats a good starter map just to help with the basics of switches and triggers, or else just fool around with trigger ideas in maps until u come up with ur own good ideas for maps

Yes bounds are good. But you should make a level-up kind of bound. they're easy bounds.

When I first started I made a bound but I quit halfway through. Heh! But I learned the basics of mapmaking and I'm learning to get better happy.gif .

Yeah, you should try making a bound, either that or an easy shoot-'em-up. I started off with my first map as a action kind of thing, and I found that just original Campaign Editor is good for beginners. I remember that my map was about a Spec. Ops. team's first mission where they had to investigate a distress call from a space station tongue.gif.

to really learn about the editor, make a variety of different types of maps. you can start off by learning how switches work and why \"preserve trigger\" is very important by making a bound.. you can learn how score systems work by making a madness type map where you constantly get new units and when you hit a certain amount of kills, you get a hero. Those are good maps to start making because they teach you the basics that are the root of the advanced stuff.

I personally think a madness game is the most basic.
Bounds come second nature.

Well, I made a defense map and a cat and mice map for my first two maps, but you can always just look at other peoples work and see how they did it//post on here for help. PM me if you need any help smile.gif

Make like a Defense map or a maddness. If your okay at map making, make a bound. Also try to make it unique.

Something like a bound or a madness would do. Although my first map was an RPG.

You can always do some assorted test maps, like I did. Not much to show for it, but you learn some valuable things from it, like how I can't stand mapping smile.gif .

For begging map making, try to make up your own campaigh base on what happen after kerrigan killed the three guys. It increses your status slowly, because it is easy and yet skill developing.
