Anyone know or got an idea how to make a window/ glass effect? Like a viewing glass with units behind it. I'm not quite sure what im talking about too but anything would be appreciate it. Thanks a lot

You could have a bunch of cloaked units, so you see a little "ripple".
birds eye view of umm looking striaght in front of you.... both be cool. is there like a special terrain of anything i could use?

I have REALLY no idea what you are trying to say... but I MIGHT be of help... As one of the hints say, create a pylon glow... or a corsairs disruption web. If you want, you can create a bunch of cloaked units that give it a ripply effect..

just to let you know, windows are transparent. The computer, however, is not, the chips in the computer might be, it seems like they are never there...
so i use pylon area sprite? where do i find that?
StarForge can place sprites. They'll go byebye in a StarEdit based editor though.

Ever seen a cloaked (but detected), disabled floor hatch? It looks like a glass floor... almost. You could try that.

I have seen cloaked doors before. It was in a replay though. And the person was flying an arbitor over them to cloak them. And there were recalls everywhere.
hm.... maybe we should try all the posibilys on that.. i thought the door was a doodle... and i dont see how... maybe yoshi knows lol
Doors were intended to be doodads on the Installation tileset. But, they're placeable as units, so they can be counted as such.
Hmm, do you think the cloaked doors thing was done by making them into a disabled sprite, like you can do in StarForge? That should be able to really disable it, and not just open it like the Disable Doodad trigger does.
No i saw the map before Starforge was created. I find it hightly doubtfull he hexedited it to the door sprite. (there were like 20 of them) Im thinking it is more likely a old replay bug with the unit doors found in Xtra.
Maybe i should try to find the replay or duplicate it.
But in other tilesets, even if you place Doors and disable/Enable them, they will not open and close (to my knowlege) correct me if I'm wrong.

You are wrong, they open and close fine.

It wont work, the sprite will turn out under and in a disabled form.
