Lately, because of all the garbage flowing into the pros section in melee, I've been wondering "What ever happened to chris?". He was one of the best melee map makers on this site, if not the best. He had a good run of 7 or so maps, and then dissapeared. If anyone has heard from him, or knows if he left this site, please let me know.
-But if you are out there Chris, we need your maps! They keep me sane, and right now I'm lacking sanity.

He wasn't the best map maker ever, but he was possibly the best on this site. And I have recently gone to BWMN, I picked up some cool maps.

Right now, BWMN is overall on average going down in quality, mainly due to the numerous not-as-good maps that are constantly uploaded to the site. Actually, the quality of the good maps got better than ever, but they're being outnumbered by the larger, lower quality maps that come in daily.
The recommended list is what people should go to: http://www.panschk.de/mappage/maplist.php?...author&limit=50 but the only problem is, it doesn't change very often (when new good maps come)

if its too personal or something, don't tell me or pm it, i wanna hear the story, because i really don't see why he would be...
unless he didn't follow site rules like really badly or such..

I looked at pretty much all of shadow paladin's melee maps uploade to sen and they were terrible maps...
Mineral placement was bad, balance was bad, and many of his maps, like his 5 player one, are just too crammed and terran favored. Basically, he focused purely on aesthetics, not balance. I have NO IDEA how those maps got into Pro in the first place

Back then, when there were barely any melee mappers outside of Korea, they probably looked very good. They did to me.

Well, we have arrived upon a new generation of mapmaking, what with all the editors that allow for bigger/wider ramps and the large population of korean map makers. Back when I was a huge nooblet, I came to this site thinking that it housed the best "Pro" maps. I therefore saw Chirs's maps as THE best. I read your post Millennium, and I completely agree. The maps are good at first glance, but If you imagine yourself playing on them, you vomit a little 
. There are a lot of better maps out there, understand my noobness as a new sc player back then...
