Ive been playing around with units with starforge
I made a marine but the HP model and attack, shield , armor was a scout.
Is there any known codes for other units like dat?
I discovered that one by accident :/
what you mean
Marine who has a shield? or a marine who has the graphic lice scout??
Ps. Can you give a screenshot?
You should always post a screenshot. If you truly did that, you have sucessfully accomplished a task that dozens of people here have been attempting for years with complete utter fail. Its always been a dream for many of the sen'ners here to get marines with shields.

What are you talking about? I distinctly remember there being several topics in which exactly these types of units were discussed.
Hell, I even remember there was one unit with ID in the 6000's that was a cloaked marine that was a detector or something like that.
Those were all removed, those wierd units above 1000 or something. There was only one time when marines legitly had shields, and that was the era of EUD.
Are you saying that all of the stats of the marine are the same stats as a scout?
Ever tried to enter stats manually? Or you just want it automatically?
Just a moment, did you test this in a map during a real game? Anyone can add shields to a marine in starforge... the shields don't show up for the marine during the game. Maybe you did something magical. Post the map or screenshot or something (I hate it when people post like this; no proof at all).

Well, the question is, did they just remove the ability to GIVE marines shields via triggers or create units with an ID that's greater than what the technical limit should be? I think it's the former; I doubt they actually messed with allowing only certain types of units (although they might have).
Yeah post the map or something next time because with what youve told me I have no idea what your talking about
i think this is what he means...
Yeah but you didnt show enough of the scout to tell me what u mean on the pic...u mean the marine turned into a scout?
Well if you're used to Starcraft X-tra editors Starforge units do look weird. I was shocked at the appearance at first. My advice: Get used to it.
Something strange about your screenshot, look at how the marine is selected... it isnt dark when it was selected, and now look at the scouts select it is darker than the marines....
If you select something then click something else it goes lighter. If you just select it it stays dark.
Nothing special.
Lol I know starforge units sorta look weird.
Sorta wierd? They look very wierd. How come every unit that isn't loaded in there shows up as a scout facing north? Eh?
And this is why I don't use any editors that are complicated...I don't like to go through an hour of work tryin to make marine work right... I like it better when they do thier own thing and don't need to be ordered every step of the way...
Sometimes units look wierd in STARFORGE, that is to be expected, starforge is the buggiest program ever, it doesn't mean anything is actually wierd, it just means starforge is bugged and isn't reading the data correctly. If you save that map and run it it will be a normel marine with no shields.
Everything is fine and looks normal for me.
Only bug I have found is you can't put large values into some of the text fields, even if it would work on StarEdit (I include the differences of values; such as for build times 15 in StarForge would be 1 in StarEdit).

Stop bashing SF, SCMD-Loser. You obviously used the program wrong. If you know how to use it, it won't be buggy.
Starcraft contains many bugs and glitches which allows us to make maps. And please post a screenshot. I'm somewhat interested to see what it is.

Um, stop flaming people. You obviously have no idea what SF does to maps on save. Yes, it corrupts them de-facto, and in such a way that you won't notice it until later (here we go again: DD2, isometrical terrain, wav files, etc). At which point, you'd probably go blame it on SCXE whereas it was simply doing its job.

Explain why I had 0 errors so far. Use SF Plus.

Because you're talking about errors that you actually experience, and I'm talking about crappy design decisions for SF. It's not about if you had errors or not, it's about how many errors is it theoretically possible to have, and how likely are those errors. In this case, add in a .wav file and you've got one (and that's pretty damn likely for someone to be adding a .wav file). Make the terrain in SCXE/SCMD2, save it, open the map in SF, save it again. Boom, your doodads are gone (and switching between editors is also pretty likely). I'm talking about things like this.
Those are the major ones, too. There are several smaller things that SF does (doesn't?) do.
By the way, you're not supposed to be able to "use the program wrong" and have the map be corrupted. Flaming the user is no excuse for the aforementioned poor design decisions. You're supposed to be able to use the program in any way, not in some particular way that has been determined from experiencing the bugs all the time.
Well I know i havent been posting here for a very long time
And the red circled scout and marine thing isnt wat i was typing about
I tried to find my map with the marine with the HP Frame of a scout and shoots like a scout and with my spare time i tried to re do it in starforge but i keep crashing so i get stressed out so i give up some times. If i do find my map while playing and searching for a different map ill post it here
