Who here would like a new type of diplomacy that would include these elements?
When you start, instead of choosing a country, you choose a technology, and you get more chances to choose technology as time passes
Hyper triggers, since it takes too long for non hypers to convert men to heros
As you choose technology, you get new types of units, for example
Reaserch Advanced Fighter Cloaking to convert all your scouts, wraiths, and mutalisks so they they are permanently cloaked
or...
Reaserch Advanced Planetary Defenses to convert turrets into Cannons
I would like your feedback, thanks
dont steal my ideas, please
Would you please change your font Squirrel, it is hard on the eyes.
I won't read anything you say until you do.
Regardless that theres a warning in the place where you change it, you seem to have picked "impact" anyway.
Font changed for him.
I can just about read it, and the process of hyper triggers onto Diplomacy maps would be a useful feature, however it would remove the wait usage, and so replace them with death counters, i think the countdown timer is a problem as well.
On the word of technology, the problem arises in that how many options can you have for technology, and how would you keep it balanced. Are you working off units used or actual upgrades, its difficult to do this, since sometimes justh having basic units are great, while someone may super tech and have a select few, truely, impressive units and kill many times their number. Maybe have an area off the map that holds the buildings, which do not produce, or defend, and these can be "teched" to at times, so that it makes it worth doing, and maybe stop peopel getting the best units straight away, such as they have to go through a few levels of marines before they can get to acadamy and all the way to Science/Ghosts and so be able to tech upwards with armour and attack.
You have some nice ideas, but really some of them are impratical. I've tried hyper-triggers in my Diplomacy: Generations. They made the game lag quite a bit. However there is hope! I'm not sure that I did it right and my perticular version has alot of wait actions. As for the research.... good luck, because I have seen other Diplomacy maps use the idea and fail miserably. I would really like to see your version though. If you ever do complete it, be sure to post it in the downloads.

Hyper triggers don't cause "lag" (unless you're running something insane on preserve). The "lag" is your existing waits conflicting with those of the hyper trigger.
There are technology upgrades in Civilization maps! Here is a civ map, I left it unprotected so you could check it out. I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it might help!
