Hello everybody,
I am new to this site, but I have been making starcraft maps for a long time. I never thought about this before, but I was wondering if it is possible to have more than 8 players in a game? For example, I like to play some maps with 2 teammates against computer (3 humans - 5 comps). I want to know if it is possible to play 3 against 6 or even 7 or 8. I got this idea from StarForge, which gives you the option of placing starting locations, buildings, and units under the control of players 9-12. If this is possible, can someone tell me how to do this? Thanks a lot.

Hmmm.... that is weird, makes you sound noobish (no offence.) Ok, well the thing is you can only have 8 players in the game, and they can only be p1-8. Players 9+ Are just effects to the game. If you do not know what you're doing you shouldn't play with them. You can crash your map FAST. For example, 90% of the time a p14 marine will crash the game, the other 10% will speed up attacking. Players 9+ are also used in EUD triggers. If you know how to use these players you can really start having A LOT of fun. There's a tutorial on this, but I lost the location. Also, sorry for any offence givin by the first sentance. Good Luck with your maps!
I dont think ai scripts can be applied to nuetral players, can they?
huh? I didn't say anything about ai... neiter did da_bomb... you sure this is the right post for asking about ai?
He means you can palce them in a game, but computer units without an AI script do nothing. (These would be neutral.)
For some of them you can use units for certain things, like having a different colourneutral NPC in a rpg game, makes things stand out.
