Does any1 have a list of starforge triggers for me to use?
I was working on my Ursadon Blood, and started placing lotsa units with SF, then remembered that I hadn't done triggers yet... \=
I don't want to lose the progress that I made, yet, of course, triggers are very very important...
And I don't want to go through and copy down what all the triggers are. Now, what I mean by all this stuff is
CreateUnit(#of units, Unit Name, ???, ForPlayer);
Would be a create-unit trigger.

PlayWAV("WavName");
Would be a play-wav trigger.

Wait(#milliseconds);
Would be a Wait trigger.
And so on.
With all the custom values bolded and with what the value is put in it, like I did.
Me needs help... closedeyes.gif
Any1 gotta list of all the trigs...?

Just save the map, then open it on Xtra to work triggers.

Yes, and lose all that progress that I made!
When you open a map in X-tra and it says
"There were ### unplaceable units"
they'll only still be there if you don't save it.
If I did triggers, then saved it, I'd have to do the units all over again.
Plz pay more attention, Pinecone.

Also the format for the triggers is listed in starforge when you select each trigger. I wanted Heimdal to color code the trigger editor but i doubt it will get done.

LoL! tongue.gif Open it in Special Mode man! In base mode... no wonder! Only unreplacable units in Special are add-ons (unless u put them in with a normal editor huh.gif ) and units placed directly over each other (stacked). From your sig it says you use base mode. Wtf is base mode for anyway? I only use Special!

Well, he could be using sprites.
Or, he could have perfectly stacked buildings which take up a miniture size, which you can't stack perfectly, even in Special.

Base mode is for placing buildings legally, neatly.
So that oyu don't have a bunch of stacked, ugly buildings and beacons that aren't lined-up with locations.
Also so that lifting-off Terran buildings won't mess something up, as theycan be replaced if they were placed in Base mode.

Okay. So, using units that are ONLY placeable in SCMDraft/Starforge will be usable in Special Mode?
I don't think so.
If Special Mode can view lone sprites without units, then Base Mode can. Special mode just allows illegal placement of units. It doesn't have MORE units than Base Mode.
"Expert map-maker", 'eh?
EDIT: Dang, MiniMoose beat me to it.

Yes, it's always important to use the proper syntaz when creating triggers in StarForge. Have you found that it's pretty easy to get the hang of?

I'd like to see you do that.

NOTICE
It is likely that a Trigger Editor for SCMDRAFT 2 will either, be a very long time, or else, never come. This is because it was being made by DW, who is a very experienced Programmer, for Blizzard projects, and others aside.

However, he feels that working more on a certain program "Memgraft" would be pointless because interest in Starcraft has gone. This is a major requirement for Modified MPQ's to work online, and without it, they cannot work correctly, if some parts of the many editors are used.

Since he was doing the Trigger part for SCMDRAFT 2 and thats for Starcraft, he may have given up on that too. Plus he refuses to give any of his code away, therefore no one can continue work on them.

I haven't used it much yet due to the fact that my mom's not giving me much comp time.
But so far, it'll just take me a little time to get used to, and I'm going to need to copy down a few more things. Meh, oh well, not too hard to use ^ ^, <-- Smily, kinda like happy.gif except the ',' is flipped and on other side in the emo.

so ummm how do u do triigers on scxtra if u got sprites on the map? couldnt seem to find the answer.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by (U)Bolt_Head on 2004-06-06 at 23:31:55
You can't,

StarEdit remove sprites from maps you open. You will have to use SF triggers or Place your sprites after you complete all your triggers and don't plan to return to Staredit.

You can't,

Which is exactly my problem, I need a list of the StarForge triggers so I didn't need X-tra Editor, Emerald Edit, etc to do triggers. Please pay attention.
