Ok, ibf_sessions.MYI screwed up, can Moose or IP please tell us WTF happened to the code or the server?
If any of you two want a more detailed explanation of what I saw, here it is:
1) SeN was down just like any other day
2) When SeN came back online, ibf_sessions.MYI got screwed up and no logs took place for any of the $MEMBER queries, causing wierd problems relating to how the site logged member activities. (Things like being the only person logged, topics with 0 views...)
3) I told everyone to leave the site for a few hours.
4) About 1 hour later, SeN went down and we got the ibf_sessions.MYI not being able to open.
So what happened?
I'd also like to request some way to fix future problems. I'm not asking for the Admin job, just some way to fix further similar problems, it could be a way to bypass the error page and have an auto-fix or something like that. I got like 15 e-mails regarding the situation, I almost desperately tried to contact the both of you, but I couldn't. This is why I'm asking for this.
Many people said that I should ask for the Administrator job, but quite frankly, I still feel like I don't have the sufficient knowledge to fix such an error, especially a mySQL error, which I have no experience of.
So if anyone is willing to teach me some of the basics, and if Moose and IP are willing to do so, I'm up for it, even if you place restrictions to "Fix the site when Moose and IP aren't here". We just can't have this happen again. (The part where we couldn't contact anyone capable of fixing it)
Yeah, too bad there is no "FIX" button. I would've had a much faster and easier time. It doesn't really matter, because I know what to do in order to fix it now.
