Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Square To Isometric
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Xeno on 2004-06-06 at 14:34:36
I'm working on this RPG, I plan on it being like Space Pirates RPG except... well better with some new ideas. I want the middle of the map to be isometric, but the insides of buildings and menus (on the rim of the map) to be square. My question is how can I change square to isometric.

Wrong Forum

You can alternate, or change with SCMDraft 2. If you want a combo, then you should definetly use SCMDraft. Starforge cant do isometric and Xtra cant do square.

Moved to Map Making Assistance.

SCMdraft all the way. We may see Starforge support Isom in the future, but right now it cant. I think if you open in SCMdraft you can take it back to Xtra or Staredit and keep working upon it.

Thought problems can still be present, however it should be fixed. Best idea is to do all the square LAST!

If you use StarForge for the square terrain, the Isometrics section is preserved and will edit fine in X-tra or any StarEdit-based editor.

Starforge CAN do isometric terrain. I don't see why people keep saying that it can't. And don't say it's buggy either because it's BARELY buggy.

As of version 2.0 (i think) Starforge no longer removes the ISOM section of the map. So therefore you can alternate between Xtra and SF as you wish.
