I just submitted a map. It's my first complete map actually. I know I did really bad at it. And I think it's going to be rejected.

Have you ever submitted a map that was rejected?

Thinking and knowing are two different things, you, if the DLDB Keepers are listening, should receive either a denial message or an approval message (approval is automatic, denied they have to send to you)

If it has been a week, PM a DLDB Keeper and they should get it in.
Patience is your friend, although I used to check maps every day..

What are some reasons why your map can get rejected?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by PCFredZ on 2006-01-16 at 19:25:35
You can't get an unoriginal map rejected, only the 4 C's:

Copped from someone else
Corrupted
Crashing
Crap

I too check the maps every day... I don't approve them all every day though. tongue.gif

We'll see, skull... I doubt it will be denied. smile.gif

I've had a map rejected because it was too obscene. So I had to do some "cleansing" and it got approved the second time around. Funny thing is, the version I sent in the first time WAS a helluva lot cleaner than the original one I'd made for me and my friends to play. So in other words, I had to clean it up TWICE! LOL! The map wasn't very good to begin with, it was just full of gags and inside jokes that only my closest friends would understand.

The map I just submitted only took around 30% of the map. Would that be considered crap?

Stop worrying about it.

Your level of concern is irrational; it's not heart surgery, it's a map.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SkuLL on 2006-01-16 at 19:39:38
Yeah... I guess I'll be waiting for the results. So any of you ever got a rejected map?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Merrell on 2006-01-16 at 20:18:39
Why does it matter? Seriously, what will the answer "yes" or "no" benefit you in?

I have rejected over 50 maps and approved over 150 in my DLDB time

Even though my map isn't good I spent a lot of time on it and I'd like to share it. lol

Good is relative. If you think it's good, it's good. If you put a lot of work into it, I'm certain it'll get accepted. Even if it doesn't that doesn't change the quality of it.

Long time ago (2004), me and my friend found maps in your "download database", there's a lot of copied and stolen that has been approved.
