Staredit Network

I was thinking in either now, or in v5 (if it ever finishes) we could have a type of social kind of game/activity and also would help people who are confused about somethings in starcraft, staredit, staredit.net, members, etc.

My idea is to have a large user-dictionary database under the community tab. It's hard to explain, so an example would be easier:

Etc, you can of course have more then one word for a letter, it could eventually be a huge database on words.

They don't all have to be fully professional, as you can be able to create a word someone already has but have a different definition; ex:
Trigger- Added by: someone
A trigger is the engine to starcr--- [insert big definition here]
Trigger- Added by: someone_else
A trigger is simply the function that makes UMS maps what they are.

Bad example, but you know .

So, at the bottom of the list, there will be a fill-in form with 3 boxes, "What is to be defined", "definition," URL to preview of object(<this one is OK to leave out)"
Only people will 50 or more cumulitive posts (maybe regulars+?) will be about to add new definitions.



So, what do you guys think? Feedback? Ay or nay?

Not ay, yay. We could have someone who goes we have a dictionary entry for EVERYTHING.

I think we already have a few dictionarys around here... scope them out and add them to your dictonary. Where is it! I remember tuxedo templar made a dictonary for starcraft... where is it!

Why an alphabet? Why not defined words like:

GG - Good game
RM - Remake
..etc

It'll sort of be like starcraft******.com (<-- no bad language they have hacks so I didn't want to give it away). It'll help new players and I think it would help them out to understand what people are saying.

Well, maybe not with restrictions to who is able to do it.. but you never know. I think it could be a good idea..

It's a nice idea, but adding names of people could result in flame.

And I checked the link DTBK, and I don't exactly think that is what Merrell is trying to get at.

He wants a Starcraft dictionary, not a Map Making one.

That's what also will be in it, little abbreviations, etc. Someone could add wtf, btw, omg, etc etc etc, define them, you get it .



And for the flaming part, we will have a moderator for it. *Cough*

We should also add things like
DK=Deathknight
DTBK=DT_BattleKruser
DH=Dorkhawk
Stuff like that, because when I joined SEN, I was very confused. I thought IP was Yoshi. -_-

If you add names to a dictionary, the names will be biased -_-

For example:

Heimdal: Created StarForge, and is the greatest known human alive
Kellimus: A flaming loser troll, that is a douche

Can you see why names should be forbidden from this, or are you to inaine to comprehend explainations, too?
