My first map was an rpg, it was probably one of the first ones to use extended terrain, although this was in a time before fancy editors. I had managed to find two glitches in the mac OS 9 editor, and had abused them both making this small map.
The map itself was 64x96, and rather basic. The only extended terrain the regular editor could place were misplaced doodads, which I spread throughout the map randomly. This map also used player 256 (Or 255 if your technical about things) as a mistake blizzard later fixed when selecting multiple units and changing some stats on them with the normal editor.
It is still the hardest game I've made to date, and recently I redid some of it, simply to make it easier. It only included the most basic trigger functions. Bring -> move. Bring -> heal sorta things. I also included a system of getting minerals for kills that seems to be one of a kind, because I had no idea how to do a good kills for cash method, I attempted something sorta off, but managed to give you some minerals. (if you were lucky)
Tragically, that map and several others are currently unattainable, as they are on a ZIP disk someplace in the garage, and I have neither a ZIP drive nor any computer with the old school cables for a ZIP drive. I have an updated version of the map, which I later used to test different extended player colors, it lacks the raw essence of noobishness the original had though.
The first map I made was a very bad melee map. I didn't have Brood War and I only played versus computers with cheat. But I wanted to win without cheats so I made a map where one of the mains was very small with very few minerals and no gas, the other one was big and had lots of minerals and gas. When I played it the computer player should start at the small base and I on the big one. Then i could easy win without cheat
But it became boring afterwards.
Later me and some friends made an UMS map where we were the heroes and got 9999 damage and HP and we owned an army of other units. The map didn't have any triggers though.
The first UMS map wth triggers I made was a Madness map named Goliath Fighters. I added mass attack function and heroes after different number of kills. I didn't made any upgrade options because I didn't know about any other map editors than the original where you only can have 3 upgrades.
I've only made UMS maps since the beginning. I've tinkered around with StarForge ALOT but unfortunatley, Drill Defense is the my first and only completed map. I'm very proud of it though so I'm in no rush to fufill my siggy.
I made a bound like around when I joined SEN...
I can't find it and my map rocked.
My first map was called 'Survival.'
It is simply awful, but it spawned 'Space-Survival,' which is usually well-received when I make it on Map Night.

The first map I completed is here on SEN, C&C Tiberian Sun. I kinda ditched it since I couldnt figure out how to fix the most common problem in it, but alot of C&C fans really enjoyed it, thats all that matters to me! lol
Cat & Mice in HELL
It's not famous but people still says its fun.
The first map I made was a campaign style map with a story and hero characters. One of those heroes was named Doodan. I came up with more ideas for a story around that character, and that's why I now have 4 campaigns, with a grand total of 50 maps about the character. Campaigns are my first love.
Hmm, thinking back about 400 maps ago I believe it was a puzzle map... 98. I was one of the first map makers. And definantly the first to not finish 400 or more. 2 of my maps have been released, one was poorly recieved, the other wasn't done but people liked it enoguh to play it for a few days.
I created the original Urban Warfare. Nothing like that one map with all the triggers and stuff..
It's long gone by now, though.
Allies and Axis: Kharkov, I sadly don't have it anymore since my computer crashed. It was kind of like Strat Warfare but like, BF1942 style, was half way through toburk then had to format mi compi
my first map was a maddness, the more funnier topic would be ur first attempt at staredit, first maps arent bad
Bound Selector
Could make it much better. It was majorly rushed.
The Chamber, back in 99. Awesome sniper-RPG, I should remake it when I get starcraft again.
First map that I ever made was called "mazers" or something
it was just u using a zergling running around in a maze that wasnt even rectangle tiles well it wasnt really a maze it was more of up and down up and down and the occasional left to right to left to up and down again but I loved it back than I thought it was cool it was on a 256x64 square
Retard Round Up.
Better than Blizzard's Zergling Round up
I made a bound that I worked on for like 2 hours, without testing stuff, making all these explosions, but I put all the wait blocks ALL, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM at the same time, so I got 200 generic, non-planned explosions every second. I didn't know wait blocks stacked back then
