Ok, I was bored (MUST start off with these 4 words when we talk about things like this haha) last night and I decided to actually see if I could tinker around with Starcraft and make something unexpected happen. I used a generic map I made and used cheats to give me whatever units/spells I wanted.
I KNEW there is more to the zerg cloaking/stacking glitches that every knows about by now. So I tried changing these routines a bit, like throwing in a statis or recall somewhere.
It's not as much of an innovative glitch as, for instance, "cloak a ling" was when it was first discovered. My glitch just goes farther into a glitch that's already been found.
BUT, before I reveal it, I want to see if anyone can recognize it, and save me the shame of another hopeless case. Here are some screenshots of it:
Look! A line of spore colonies. That's not scary right? Especially not for the marines that are on their way....
OMFG the spore colonies have lurker spines!!!
That could easily be a utilized defense in melee mode. The next picture, is a lot less practical, but still fun =D
All of these colonies just have another unit sitting inside them, so both attacks are still fully functional!
Remember, these were done WITHOUT the following:
- Triggers
- Mods
- Cheats (well... I used cheats... but I didn't have to )
- Hacks
- etc
Doesn't crash starcraft or anything else like that.... So! Two questions:
Has anyone seen this before? and
Does it seem interesting enough to learn?
ADDITITION!!!!
I remember I while back I saw some map that had a zergling running around on a spawning pool. There's even a tutorial for how to do it... I thought that was pretty cool.... UNTIL NOW!!!
Why settle for a spawning pool.... when you can have a Spawning LAKE!!! (complete with diving board and waterfall).
It requires some pre-placement but it acts just like unbuildable terrian. Shweet!!!
